This is a quest in a chain of 23 that runs pretty much all over the map.
However, it all starts with the Fallen Hero of the Horde.
(Hat tip to Xeir for the initial connectors between chains.)

Technically, it's four chain quests that tie into each other:

Completing the entire chain gives you the following:
103,685XP at appropriate level
Shard of Afrasa

This is the first quest in a long line of quests that end up with you fighting Rakh'likh. This is a summary of the entire saga.

Note: This is for the Horde. Don't know how to start the Alliance side.

Note: You get 3 different items after completing Rakh'likh:

- Demon's Blood trinket (https://www.wowhead.com/cata/item=3720/yeti-fur)
- Necklace of Sanctuary (https://www.wowhead.com/cata/item=7755/flintrock-shoulders)

Besides those 3 items you get the trinket from Heroes of Old quest AND the weapon that Galvan forged in The Formation of Felbane.

As a lvl 59 warlock i soloed everything till step 19. You need a full party to do 19 and 20.

The Alliance first quest giver is an NPC (can't remember his name) at the top of Nethergarde Keep in the Blasted Lands. He sends you right to The Fallen Hero. Maybe the best chain in the game, in terms of XP. I'm not done yet (Hetaera has a guard now!) but I'm sure I've received over 25,000 XP so far and a trinket that was pretty good. Interesting stuff, too. Highly recommended.

My wife and I took a crack at this quest chain. We got up to step 16 or 17 in one night and netted 90k xp for the work. Best night of xp by far for us!

I'd highly recommend this chain for anyone trying to make that last push to lvl 60. For alliance it starts in Nethergard Keep. There's a high elf at the top of the main tower who kicks it off.

You get this quest from the guy who wants you to listen to his story (Horde). Turn it in at Stonard at 47,55. Inside the house and all the way up.

I am a 56 demon spec lock and have solo'd this all the way up to 19 and 20.. I have just completed step 19 with the help of a 70 tank.. He wiped once on lady sevine :O Been working on the quest for 3 days, hard too, alot.. no.. ALOT of travel..

A good tip for solo on this one is to choose your looting wisely.. Don't be so eager to loot that kill, trust me, it will be there for a bit. That keeps the respawns to a minimum when you go into heavily mobbed areas.. Worried about good/rare drops, I haven't gotten anything good (other than coin and 2 greens) Outside of that, XP is KILLER on this chain.. some of the lower level (50-53) players will benefit more from the mobs since at my lvl, the vast majority of them are grey to me.. Still over 100,000 xp definitely, heck I have lvl'd 3 times on this quest.. I started it in about the halfway point in 54.. I am now about to hit 57 when I turn in step 19.

I was able to get this quest at lvl 45
Dispatch comander Ruag is on the top floor of the other building (not the inn)
- the commander sends you to talk to Bengor
- Bengor is laying on the floor inside the inn.
- he tells about being ambushed by Murlocs.
- go to Stagalbog Cave (entrance at 65,74)
- the cave splits into 3 paths, take the center one.
- the murlocs in the cave are Flesheaters (lvl 42-43 enrage @20% HPs) and Inksewers (41-43 cast lightning bolt and an ink attack that reduce melee to hit by 50% for a few seconds)
- Kill Swamp Talker (lvl 50 non-elite) he is surrounded by 4 casters (Inspewers).
Notes on fighting him:
I was able to single pull the 2 closest casters and then single pull Swamp Talker himself. He will summon a guardian to attack (1 wand shot dispelled it)
At lvl 45 (priest) most of my spells were resisted so i ran out of man and died but this should be easily do-able at 47-48.
- Once you getthe orders return them to the ghost orc at the entrance to The Blasted Lands.
- No Idea on Exp or Rep yet.

Regret. It is all I have now. One bad decision resulting in several horrible outcomes. If only I had waited for those orders. Maybe they would have detailed the horrors that awaited us in those cursed lands! Maybe they were to redirect us to another detail? Ultimately, it was my fault. All of it was my fault.

So here I stand, awaiting orders. I must know. I must have those orders.

Dispatch Commander Ruag resides in Stonard. Find him and find out what became of the orders.
