Is this quest bugged for anyone else? Kept getting the 'You are busy and can't use the taxi service right now' error message when I tried to board the Repaired Bomber...

It would not work for me as well, I logged out and logged back in and was able to get in the plane and complete the mission.

I am also unable to get into the plane. I am a level 11 Dwarf Warrior. It also tells me that I am busy and cannot use the taxi service right now.

UPDATE!

Was able to exit completely out of the game, then log back in, and finished the quest as directed.

Had no issues with this quest as of today.

To make the quest easy, wait til you reach the clusters of golems on the south end. They're much easier to bomb than the individual dark iron dwarves.

Just did this quest. Logged out (not exit all the way out) and back in and it worked.

You mean 77, 18. At the northern end of the runway, below the "flight path".

Hey the problem is that your in combat. Check in your map and check if its red around it.

What I did I went behind the plane into the snow whithout going off the cliff until I got out of xombat and I went perfectly well.

PS: Its easier if you go for the golems

Still bugged. I was not in combat and it wouldn't let me board the plane. X-ing out and logging back in fixed it.

12/30 Quest working fine. Walk away from Commamder Stonebreaker; bomber is to the right. You make two circuits, plenty of time to kill all you need. You don't control bomber, only your view from the air.

Playing a hunter, I had the same bug. I noticed I didn't have my pet so I called it, and the quest worked just fine. If you have a familiar or pet I suggest you call or dismiss it if you are having issues with this quest.

Did it on my enhancment shaman, had to log out then back in to be able to get in the Repaired Bomber.

I can guarantee Blizzard will NEVER fix this quest. If logging out and back in allows a person to get on the bomber, then Blizzard considers it good enough. Blizz has a very well documented history of not fixing broken quests. Even though this is the only quest available and needs to be completed to get on to additional quests to continue leveling, the log out/in fix is just fine as far as Blizzard is concerned. So my main point is, dont bother looking for a fix for this quest because it will never happen until they decided to revamp the old world again in another 6 years.

This is a common problem, its happened to me with other quests and stuff before. its a problem with ur combat status, the game thinks ur still in combat even if it doesnt show u as bein in combat. on my hunter, the easiest fix is to feign death. stealth doesnt seem to work, but logging out and bak in works just fine.

None of this worked for me.

Ladies and Gentle . . . errrr . . . . Dwarves/Gnomes/Humans/Peoples, It seems that there's a slight problem now that when you board the aircraft . . . there is no longer a menu/table that pops up to control or do anything while flying. You just get stuck riding for endless loops around the airfield, with no way off (kind of like being on United or Delta, actually . . . but I digress . . .)
Logging out won't do it, and neither will exiting WoW and signing back in. I had to open a ticket and sign off for the night, and this morning when I checked, a GM finally was able to get me off the thing and back on the ground. "It is a vehicle malfunction that is happening with a lot of in-quest vehicles", I was told. "There is no solution as of yet, but keep an eye out for a hotfix in the future", and in not so many words, I was told to just start somewhere else and continue there, before the response closed out.

SO good luck finishing all the Dun Morogh Quests. Ever, apparently, seeing how Blizz fixes broken quests . . .

I had a completely different problem...

I had no vehicle bar!

*Normally* - when you do a quest in a vehicle... you get a vehicle bar with all the options/abilities/what-have-you of the given vehicle...

Things like mount/dismount, shoot, etc...

My initial thought was that it was related to add-ons...

It wasn't. This quest was simply designed improperly.

Comments above say they had to click the little icon next to the objective tracker to "bomb"...

Except for whatever reason - I didn't happen to be tracking the quest or even using the objective tracker... so I guess that'll teach me - lol :P

You can also drag a bomb that you are given from your bag onto your default action bar...

Which is a fairly normal behaviour for most quest items *when you're not in a vehicle*!

Geez Blizz... you think you could equip the *plane* with bombs instead of making us carry them?

A vehicle bar *should* be part of this quest and *should* have a parachute/eject/return to base/whatever button as well... which would take care of the "can't get out of the plane" problems ...

Anyway - my 2 cents... and hopefully it helps someone... :)

this quest is hella bugged for me 7/23/2011. i had a pvp pop up and it wouldn't let me go in due to the fact that apparently once i accepted this quest i was stuck in combat. then the taxi said i was too busy to use it. so after many clicking attempts i just logged and came back and it finally worked.

i had trouble getting the bomber to work as it kept saying "you cannot use taxi service right now" or i was "busy" but then i logged in and out again as suggested and it worked fine after that :D <3

If you're having trouble finding the plane like I did. From the quest giver go NW. its the only plane there.

I was getting the taxi problem, so I relogged and that fixed it. But I've killed all the Dark Irons I needs to, and now I can't get back out again.

If you happen to be doing this quest on a high enough level toon to easily kill the mobs in question simply kill them with your normal abilities and the quest completes, no need to board use the bomber.

Quest working just fine... little tip.. zoom in at max (like 1st person shooter).. you won't have the bomber in your sight.. easyer to aim ! Happy bombing !

Still bugged on 8/23/2012. I tried logging out and in, but it didn't work. Can't continue quest line. I guess I'll go to Loch Modan and see if they have any quests for a level 12 gnome.

Update: Logged out and waited a day, then it became unbugged. Got in the plane and bombed stuff. Thought there was another bug when I couldn't find any controls for the plane. Just have to click on the item you were given. Put it on a button bar for easy use.

[My chief engineer tells me that he's managed to get one of the bombers repaired and airworthy. Take these bombs with you, and look for the repaired bomber at the start of the runway.

Once you're airborne, use the bombs to do as much damage to the attacking Dark Iron dwarves as you can. I've heard rumors that they're preparing to deploy a new kind of war golem. Keep your eyes peeled for those golems and make them your highest priority targets.]
