You have to talk to the Ghost at the bottom, north side of the hill.. Deathy Usher. He will port you up to face Razelikh. Remember to use the knife you get to finish of Loramus when he gets Corrupted.

This is the updated quest, from the old-world version.

Speak to the deathly usher to be ported to the top of the mesa.

Loramus Thalipedes joins you, and summons the demon.

Razelikh is a level 57 elite. After dialogue, he becomes attackable. Loramus helps you in the fight.

During the battle, the demon possesses Loramus, and you have to fight him.

When his health is low, he says "Quickly! Use the knife on me! Time runs short!" Then you use the Stone knife of Stealing on him.

Edit: Return to the goblin at the Dark Portal to turn in the quest.

The person you are looking for is an ethereal ghost to the northwest of the mountain in the Rise of the Defiler (not in the cave). He is standing by a purple glyph on the ground. Cords: 46,21

Note that you must tag Loramus' demon form in order to get credit for the soul imprisonment, even if you are the one that uses the knife. Just had a mage that decided to 'help' me, and I had to do the whole battle over again, as I only got credit for destroying Razelikh's body.

Soloed this as a 56 shaman. I first tried DPSing and got killed. The next time I spent most of the time healing and letting him tank, and finished easily.

A lot easier than the previous version was, since you've got Loramus and his healing aura. That said, one thing I noticed this time around was that using the rogue ability vanish caused the quest to bug, and Razelikh to despawn. I had to hearth off of the spire to leave, even after dropping the quest.

Nice to see that this quest is still around, albeit in an updated form.

If you're high lvl like me (85 lock) when doing this q, make sure you don't nuke Rakh'likh down too fast.

I didn't get credit for the kill, altough I got credit for the soul imprisonment and had to start over again.

Took me 2 more tries before I figured I just kill him slow with my sword. The fight was also a lot more fun that way because Rakh'likh's ability will blast you off the cliff. Fortunately Loramus is looking after you and death grip's you back on him while flying in midair. Wee...

Just use your weakest dmg ability when high lvl or just have fun doing this fight twice. :D

If the quest bugs - when I tried the first time they despawned halfway through the fight leaving me there staring at nothing - just jump down to get ported back at the Usher and start the whole thing again.

the symbols on above map are wrong. also when you do this quest the usher is not at the circled yellow quest number on your map. he is actually north of it at bottom of hill. after talking to him i was teleported to top and fight had already started without me. might try abandoning quest so can try it again to see dialogue i missed.

if you abandon quest at this point to do it again to see missed content, it will appear you lost the whole chain. just go back to cave and talk to lorimar again. he will be there with an exclaimation point. also careful jumping off ledge, i died at lev 65 jumping lol. if you take to long to kill the demon, the battle actually can be lost. just jump of ledge at north end, take teleporter to bottom, and talk to usher again.

Heads up. hunters, dismiss your pets if you are high lvl. otherwise you will get credit for the imprisonment but not the body. just did it.

go talk to 'Deathly Usher' around the back of the mountain. You should see a glyph like image on the ground. He will take you straight to the quest. Good luck.

As said by others, if you are high lvl, make sure you have _low_ damage output on Razelikh, otherwise you won't get the part of the quest saying "Razelikh's body destroyed".

My point is that if (like myself) already nuked him down, and failed to complete the quest, you _do not_ have to abandon the quest to start it over (as I did...). Simply speak to Usher again to get teleported up and into the encounter.

Watch out, when you fall down (which can happen when the boss does his ability) you have to start over!

Visit the Purple Rune at ground level at (46.52, 21.83) - that is where the Deadly Usher will be.

[Hero, listen well.

First, we must travel to the Deathly Usher, who waits at the northern foot of the Rise of the Defiler, to our northeast. The usher will take us to the top of the rise. Once there, I need you to help me defeat Razelikh, for I fear that I am not strong enough to defeat him alone.

Most importantly, I need you to hold the stone knife, and do not use it until I tell you to. The knife will trap Razelikh's soul within its new, eternal prison.

If we succeed, speak with Wazzik.]
