Found a fix for this bug. When the match starts, let the goblin and the gnome attack each other until the gnome summons her pounder. Kill the pounder like normal. After about 10 different methods and 20 attempts, this one worked for me.

Still broken. I couldn't find anyone to help me with this chain so I soloed it as a fury warrior. No more quests appear after the Sarinexx quest.

This quest initially wasn't available for me, so I followed the main quest chain up until after the quests from Megs at the Dunemaul Compound, and it was available at that point.

Seems like the best way to avoid having the quest glitch out if you're overleveled is to bring Kelsey and the Steelspark's health down slowly by attacking them unarmed if you're a physical DPS, and wanding or melee attacking them if you're a caster.

Done every quest that exists in tanaris but still can't pick up the last part of the Thunderdome series. Hope it gets fixed soon.

I tried to do this twice and failed both times for no reason after killing the robot. I thought maybe the objective was bugged and the quest was copied from alliance side so that Megs had to die to complete. I let Megs die on my third attempt and failed again.

Then, remembering other quests that were bugged in a similar fashion, on my fourth attempt I made sure that when I obtained aggro on the gnome, I pulled her a significant distance away from her spawning location instead of attacking her where she started. This time after killing the robot I got an objective complete.

Thanks so much for the tip! This worked like a charm. I just pulled the gnome away when she became attackable and then I was able to complete it just fine.

I tried not to dps the bot and I tried fully dotting her at the moment she becomes unattackable.. Curse of Doom + Corruption + Immolate only got me to 500 hp but after dragging the fight out another minute I magically completed it... After failing 5 times - messed up quest :/

I COMPLETED it and just wanted to let everyone know what i did.... I did two things and i don't know which one did it. (1) I pulled her out of the cage and (2) killing Steelsparks LX-506 in less than 20 seconds with some random 70 walking by and killing it for me outside the dome. So i hope this help...

I had to let the robot beat on me for two minutes while they ran in circles, then DPS it down to win.

The gnome despawned but the quest end played out like it should otherwise.

A lvl ? Alliance hunter "helped" me on this. However since it's a gnome versus a goblin, the only one he could aggro was the goblin... and every time he'd kill her, the quest would fail. This happened to me three times in a row (I never did ask for his help, he just decided to do it on his own) until I /begged, /cried, and pointed at the goblin and said /no. He finally got the point and went away.

This also worked for me. Agroed Gnome away from the middle, gave some dps until the robot appeared, let the robot attack goblin, after they started running killed the robot and quest complete. Whole time I was standing near the edges.

The way I completed it was to drag her out and around the ring to the side (I exited to the right) and killed the machine out there.

I didn't have to do anything special to get this quest to work. Just kicked the tar out of the machine when it spawned. Was very easy to solo on my lvl 52 feral druid.

This quest seems to no longer be bugged. Attacked the gnome until the robot showed up, let the goblin deal with the gnome while I took care of the machine, then finished off the gnome. I had to cast Healing Surge on myself once (and I was using healing stream totem). Like the others in the quest chain, don't be fooled by the group quest tag. It was easily soloable as a level 48 enhancement shaman in quest greens.

Like everyone else already mentioned... THANK YOU... I was getting a little fed up with failing for no reason... moving her right away against the walls worked like a charm.

Still bugged on my server (terokkar), horde side. I was able to solo the other guys before, and kept getting frustrated at the fact that after I'd killed the robot the quest would fail. Read the text over, couldn't figure it out. Came here, took the first advice I saw.. skimmed to see other options in case the first didn't work. THANKS! to the people that posted their fixes. The method of aggroing the gnome and pulling her to the side worked for me. When the robot spawned, I pulled him and kept him out of the middle as well. As others have said, its labeled as a group quest, but I was able to solo all of the thunderdrome quests as a level 48 holy paladin.

apparently this is still at least partially bugged. i solo'd every quest before this one with no problems at all, but this quest never appeared and i was able to pick up and complete the first quest on another alt and none of the others.

Final quest opened up for me after I had completed most of the quests in the zone. Don't know exactly how much might be needed, but when I had been sent down to Ulduar this quest became available. Might just be a bug, but if it's intended it would be nice to know...

Howdy,

With Neutral faction to Gadgetzan in order for this quest to become available for me:

I completed the quests located at Sandsorrow Watch (about 5 quick ones) where you also can get Gus' First Aid Kit. After completing those I was sent to see Megs Dreadshreadder. I completed her quests including Andoren Will Know & the final quest was available.

To complete the quest I dragged her outside the door & then fought the robot, Steelspark LX-506 outside as well.

Kelsey ended up kill the other guy, quest failed like normal, but the lightning spider ran around Gadgetzan for 30 minutes chasing and killing people.

Was awesome.

Soloed as 48 balance druid. Took the bot outside, kept healing myself at ever second cast, and that's it. Quest was complete.

You have to complete the quests at Dunmaul Compund to start the final arena-quest.
I tried it and it worked :)
It's 4 simple quests that have to be done: First get 8 signatures, then kill about 20 insects at the Noxious Lair, then feed 8 orges and last and easiest kill the Ogre standing in the cave :)
Then run up to Gadgetzan and keep doing the arena quests!

(Thumb me up to make it easier to track for those wondering how to start the quest)

Soloed this and the other thunderdrome quest easily at lvl 48 with my Enhancement Shaman. First time was bugged, but second time no problems. Killed it second time slower than first time.

Tried this over and over, but they both despawned when the Robot thing died. What did work was to move Kelsey to the outermost part of the ring, and keep her there until the robot spawns. When the robot spawned I kept that too around the outermost part, just for good measures. Got credited with quest completed.

As of Patch 4.3 If you are having trouble with this quest.

Here's what I did.

I waited for them to kill each other until the robot spawned.

Make sure you you kill the robot very slowly, as a hunter I was autohitting it to death.

This let the goblin run around for a while being chased by the lightning and once the robot died, the NPCs did not despawn and I finished the quest.

I tried pulling Kelsey away from the centre of the ring, but it didn't work for me. I tried what Picori suggested, and finally managed to complete the quest. Kill the robot as slowly as possible. As a warlock, even putting DoTs on it downed it too fast, so I let my voidwalker do all the work and kept him healed up. I was also outside the ring at the time, which is good simply for a bit of space.

And, as others have said, this is pretty easily soloable, especially if you can have a pet tank.
