Handy Tip for all you Jewelcrafters:

3 of the Jewelcrafting dailies can level your Jewelcrafting skill up to 485.
After you ding 485 any of the gems that you cut for these Jewelcrafting dailies will not level up your Jewelcrafting skill.

I believe this is a reference to the creature "Nibbler" in Futurama. He pretty much eats everything and excrete it as dark matter.

It would be nice to not have to prospect 6 to 7 stacks of ore for the THREE gems this daily requires.
Of all the JC dailies, this one is the most frequent on my server and the most difficult of all the gems to get. As of the time of this posting the raw Zephyrites are in the AH at 70g each, that's more than most of the blue quality gems.

If you have the quest for JC trinket "Broken Boar Figurine" you wont be able to finish this daily. I just discovered this by cutting too many solid zephyrites :)

You have to cut the gems BY YOURSELF.
You have to cut the gems AFTER YOU GET THE QUEST.

Buying it from Auction House,trading or pre-made gems doesn't count for the quest!

~~This quest is bugged already wasted like 10 Zephyrites and they just are not counting towards the cuts. Tried relogging and issue persists.~~

Nevermind, the quest will not count the cuts if you are in a raid. It wil only count the Solid Zephyrites in your possesion.

[Lila's pet Nibbler got into my workshop again!

I was making a bracelet, to be delivered today. The work was almost done, except for the gems. I spent all night cutting them, but when I stepped out for a bit of breakfast, the little beast came into my workshop and swallowed every gem in sight! The thing can digest ANYTHING, and trust me, you'd break your back trying to pick up its leavings.

I need to get replacement gems fast; the courier is coming in tonight. Help!]
