The colored crystals that once were placed randomly all over the map have now been split into quadrants of the map. As I was picking them up today I noticed that I've been finding them in different areas from where they are shown on the map above. Here's what I found:

Blue: Southeast
Green: Northeast
Red: Southwest
Yellow: Northwest.

The proportions you need to get the final power crystals has also changed. Whereas you needed ten of two different crystal colours you now need eight of the primary colour for that area and six of one of the other colours:

Crystal Charge: 6 Red + 8 Yellow
Crystal Restore: 8 Yellow + 6 Green

Western Crystal Pylon:

Crystal Ward: 8 Red + 6 Green:
Crystal Yield: 6 Blue + 8 Red

Eastern Crystal Pylon:

Crystal Force: 8 Blue + 6 Green
Crystal Spire: 8 Blue + 6 Yellow

So with just 18 greens but 22 each of the other colours you can get a batch of each kind.

Hmmm...everyone previous to me has had alot to say about where to get the crystals but nothing about how to do the quest.... Also, when I did this quest it says to get 7 of each.

So first you gather 7 crystals of each color. The in-game map shows you the four quadrants where the crystals can be found. They were not laid out as the map above suggests. I found them in each quadrant as follows:

Yellow-upper left
Green-upper right
Blue-lower right
Red-lower left

The green crystals have a bright yellow tint to them, which I assume was done because the background color for Un 'Goro is also green.

I have done this quest a few times with previous alts and you had to take the crystals to some pylons located along the rim of Un'Goro.

This is no longer required and as soon as you get all the crystals, you also get a yellow question mark for quest turn-in.
Thats it!

EDIT: Well the map got fixed and the colors match what I describe above!

I've gotten all the crystals and went back to J.D. Collie but it won't let me complete it. Do I need to take them to the pylon things or what?
