You can find Inspector Snip Snagglebot out side SW's bank.

This is really easy, and takes 5 minutes max if you know what your doing, I suggest you go the 2 city guards standing at the entrance of SW's bank first, analyse them with the Snagglebot's Air Analyser, then head to the 2 other city guards near the entrance of the big walls of SW's main entrance, do the same thing then head back the the first 2 guards you analysed and analse them once more. Then that should be 6 and your done.

Hand in the quest to Inspector Snip Snagglebot for 6000EXP

You can actually sample the same guards multiple times, jsut have to wait a bit, so if you are the lazy kind of player like myself, you could just sit around and wait. ;-)

If you grab this quest in Stormwind and finish the chain - then go to say... Ironforge. You can pick up Uncommon Scents and turn it in at Stormwind.

You can then pick up this quest again, but it will auto complete. It will count towards X Quest Achievement

If you try to do this on a dk be4 you become frendly to the alliance/horde, guards will kill you :P I saw a 58 draenei dk get killed by sw guards after using that item. Hilarious. Thought that ressing him would make guards hostile to me like in goblin cities... Sadly it didn't.
Could any1 confirm/deny this bug? I don't feel like rolling another dk :P

Funny thing happened to me. When I took a sample from a guard who was chasing a horde at the time I got flagged for PvP. Then when I did the next step with the disguise I got one-shoted by a rouge outside the gates. My toon wasn't very high level.

FEB 2010 - LOVE IS IN THE AIR

This quest line will unlock "Crushing the Crown" quest which is necessary for Dangerous Love achievement (thus Fool For Love meta achievement).

Uncommon Scent (IF) - pick up from Junior Inspector near IF bank then travel to Inspector Snip Snagglebolt at SW bank. Note: this quest can be skipped by going directly to Snip in SW, but seriously this is easy gold .

+ Something Stinks (SW) - use the "Snagglebolt's Air Analyzer" from your inventory on guards in SW. When you target a guard check if they have a purple buff of "Heavily Perfumed". I used analyzer on the 2 guards at the bank and guards by SW entrance.

+ Pilfering Perfume (SW) - you'll be turned into a goblin, quickly run outside of SW and hang a left against wall, you'll automatically pick up a crate then run back to Inspector Snip.

+ Fireworks at the Gilded Rose (SW) - go into SW inn and upstairs, turn in quest.

+ Hot on the Trail (SW) - run over to the SW Barber shop, then SW AH, then SW Bank.

+ A Friendly Chat (SW) - go to the SW harbor and interact with Snivel near the middle dock.

QUESTLINE COMPLETE
You've now unlocked 2 quests.

Crushing the Crown (Crystal Song) - just below Dalaran blow up the wagon, then kill 5 mobs. This is a daily quest so you can get 5 Love Tokens.

Man on the Inside (SFK) - quest to kill holiday boss in SFK.

As you're walking around the city, you will come across guards with a pink substance around them, much like what you see in cartoons when the characters smell really bad and they're covered in green smokey stuff, only this is pink. In addition to this the NPCs will have what looks like a buff called,Heavily Perfumed.

Took me some time to notice, but you need to use the analyzer on guards with pink clouds on them

This is an easy quest. Just go right up to any of the Guards-the ones that newbs go to to learn where the auction house or class trainers are. If you need help, go directly to the SW entrance when you see the shops.

The two dudes standing by the sculpture thingy next to the AH are not normal guards.

Does this quest expire or is it seasonal? I cannot find a single guard in the places specified above who has a pink-eye, much less a pink cloud around them...

I'm doing this at night right now (Oceanic realms) - do they only stink up during the day?

Seems like I don't have access to this quest line this year. Went to the junior detective, and he didn't have any quests for me. The inspector only gave me , so I'm assuming these are not going to be repeatable this year.

This quest line does not appear to be repeatable.

I was able to que for the holiday dungeon and had forgotten completely that I had complete the quest line last year.

Perhaps that is because this is an actual quest line rather than honoring elders, or respecting the fires as in some other holiday.

Get a load of these guys, would ya? Steamwheedle's been handling the business of holidays for years, and all of a sudden, these guys bust into the market. They're not Steamwheedle; the cartel hired me to get to the bottom of this. Something stinks here and it ain't just perfume. Take this device I brought and go analyze the perfume clouds around the guards. I want to know what they're putting in that stuff. Things ain't natural.
