Upon acceptance of this quest talk to the quest giver to "ride him" as a mount, otherwise you will not be able to interact with the Fatherstone.

Note that your action bar is replaced with an ability to use the spear. If you don't notice this, you'll do as I did, and ride the centaur back to the glen; talk to the quest giver again and get another ride over and use #1 this time...

I had a problem with this one today. I rode out to the stone and some one else was in the process of doing the quest already. Every time I threw the spear, nothing happened and it wouldn't let me dismount. Eventually my centaur ran back to where we started and I tried it again. This time, I was the only one there and it worked fine.

Not sure if this is working as intended or not but if you have an issue doing it, just wait until no one else is in the middle of it.

It takes a little over a minute to ride over there and a little under a minute to fail the quest thereafter... because you were tabbed out. Lesson learned: don't tab out.

I did not get this to follow-up on Breakout.

Had to do Cenarion Property for this to become available.

I am alliance and I was clicking the spear while on the stone, it didn't work so while I was trying to figure it, a horde comes along and does the quest. I got full credit for it and picked up the next quest. For the horde!

This quest requires Friendly status with Cenarion Circle. If you aren't yet Friendly, just do the Cenarion Property from Garren Darkwind to get that last bit of rep.

In order to do this quest you will have needed to complete the three quests given by Botanist Ferrah, then "An Introduction is in Order" . You will then get the follow up "Breakout" and "Cenarion Property", once those two are done it will open "Delicate Negotiations".
