44, 53 for the horde ship
49, 49 for the alliance ship

They pile onto the boats from the Vrykul boats. There are npc's that will help out and a Kraken that lurks around in the water attacking but not doing a lot of damage, although it's best to avoid him. I found myself on the wrong boat and didn't get flagged until I accidentally attacked the hordie npc's.

Heading north from the Tourney grounds, Alliance ship is to the right of the ghost looking (Kvaldir) main ship, and Horde's to the left.

Enemies raid (and respawn very quickly) onto your factions ship, stay to the sides if you want to single target or jump right into the fray to get your kills.

Seems to be tricky to make your escape after wards, either try to hang by the edges of the ship (very tip or rear) to get out of combat to fly away.

Few tips for fellow Shaman's, this is a great place to let your Fire Elemental stretch it's legs (or arms, it seems) and to get away, water walking and ghost wolf away till your out of combat.

Elixir of Water Walking will help to get away from the boat and get out of combat also for those non water walking classes

Annoying quest. Seems quite easy to get "stuck" in combat if you aren't a class who can feign, iceblock, vanish etc. Last couple of times I've done it, I couldn't mount up to fly away afterwards, and ended up having to swim all the way back to the foot of the cliffs in Icecrown before it would remove me from combat.

Yeah really annoying quest, gotta run/swim halfway back to land b4 u exit combat and that's for the classes that can walk on water, feel sorry for the ones that can't. NOT doing this quest anymore -_-

There appears to be a way to make this quest a bit more bearable. Once you've killed your quota of mobs, jump into the water and run to the ramming spar at the front of the boat at the waterline. Jump up on that and run forward until you leave combat. You can then mount up and fly away.

Make sure you go to the red ship, not the blue one. Stupid high elves look like blood elves, but they don't appriciate your help.

just want to add that choosing the 'right' boat to fight on is everything here (just in case anyone is as stupid as i was and fighting on the other boat, at first! lol)

if u are a drood, just jump into the water and swim away to lose combat. after that, float on water, jump and press fly form same time, ive its done right, you will be flying away to escape and dont have to wait and be lucky to lose aggro

I had an issue with the fog here. Everytime i flew into Hrothgar's Landing my screen would turn completely white. After about half an hour of trial and error, I found out changing my monitor's resolution down from 1680 x 1050 to 1280 x 1024, the fog issue stopped completely. Hope this helps as I could not find any of this info elsewhere!

I'm not sure if it's patch 3.3.3 or just a random bug, but lately the spawn rate on the quest mobs has been painfull slow. Anyone else getting this?

Bless the Blues! It seems that 3.3.3 was a little buggy, and they knew that there was a problem with respawn timings. Patch 3.3.3a has been released this morning. Respawn times appear to have been corrected, though I only personally know from farming Venture Co. Evacuees.

People were also complaining about the impossibility of completing Cheese for Glowergold . I assume that quest is now fixed, though I haven't tried it myself.

This is one of the dailies that Girana the Blooded gives when you become exalted with the Sunreavers and are a Champion of at least one home city.
She always gives You've Really Done It This Time, Kul, but every day only one of the following randomly:
A Leg Up
Rescue at Sea
Stop The Aggressors
The Light's Mercy

You do not need to be exalted with the Argent Crusade to access these dailies.

Hordies doing this quest may want to double-check where they land. Following the quest marker on the map may at times take you to the Alliance ship instead.

Read the quest guys. The red firehawk is the name of the ship, not some mount you fly on. I just read this entire page after running around like an idiot for 10 minutes...then I read the quest. Just go to the ship on your flying mount and kill mobs. Very easy quest.

44, 54 are the horde co ords, aliance are on the opposite side. Dont go to the wrong boat as you will be attacked by the npc's. A mccracken freezes you and the npc's a few times. Landing is no problem but taking off is, as I was constantly attacked by the Kvaldir. I jumped onto one of the Kvaldir attacking boats and they eventually lost interest in me and I flew off... Generally speeking its a bit of an annoying quest. If the Kvaldir dont loose interest in you, you cant fly off and you have to swim for the nearest shore, along ways away.

DONT do what i did! *laughing in embarrassment* :)

Me as horde went to the boat at 51 49 for 1 week straight.
Packed of enemy mobs + the quest mobs.
Found it annoying i could not mount since i
was in combat all the time...

Today i found another boat at 43 53.
Only hostile quest mobs and friendly npc:s killing them...

Descrizione

The Kvaldir have set up camp at Hrothgar's Landing, the small island to the North. We sent Captain Aerthas Firehawk to the area, but they ran into a Kvaldir Raiding party heading to the Tournament Grounds! The Firehawk is now under attack by the raiders and is vastly outnumbered. Get out there and show those Kvaldir why attacking the Sunreavers is a poor plan indeed.

The Firehawk is between Hrothgar's Landing to the north and the Tournament Grounds, on the western side of The Sea Reaver's Run.
