Icing on the cake for the harpooning daily. Should you manage to kill the kraken, it will place a item in your inventory, which can be turned in for a few extra golds. This WILL count toward your 25 daily limit.

If you're the only one doing the quest at the time, you'll need 2 to receive the tooth. One person can get the Kraken about halfway down.

I found this quest purely by accident this morning. After 2 failed runs to even shoot the Kraken, he was always at the other boat, I flew back following 2 other people. With Kraken being dead I was unable to complete Get Kraken! a 3rd time, so I abandoned it. After finishing the other tourney quests I found the item, and was glad the quest didn't expect me to finish the original one I started on today!

I don't think it is possible to solo to get this daily at all because you can get him down to maybe 40k hp before he goes back underwater where he then regenerates back up to full hp before getting to the other boat.

I think this quest got bugged with the arrival of 4.0.1, now you can easily solo the Kraken but you don't gain a 'Kraken Tooth' anymore when he dies.

Maybe it's just my boyfriend and I, but we've killed him numerous times since we heard about the quest and he's never once dropped a tooth for us. ]:

I forgot all about this. Killed him a bit after posting this and we got the tooth. Easily done now at 85.

The quest has returned with patch 4.0.3. It now takes 8 hits to complete the "Get Kraken" quest, but you kill him with seven. The tooth drops. You also need to kill six Kvaldir now. So the Get Kraken quest is harder, but getting the tooth is easier.

I made a macro for this (Get Kraken!) long time ago... You need just spam it with left mouse button for Kraken. If its out of range, click with the right button to kill Deepcallers for the quest.

Not sure if this is THE factor, but it APPEARS that you must have Get Kraken UNCOMPLETED(but in your quest log) to get the tooth. So if you havn't killed him but have finished Get Kraken, don't turn it in, abandon/reaccept and try again.

Of course, it might not be worth it to most folks, as I'm almost positive no Seal is rewarded, just gold/rep/XP

As of this patch you can get the tooth, but you have to kill the Kraken first before you kill 6 of the Kvaldir Deepcallers.

Now at lvl 85 it seems you can 5-6 shot the krakken ( at lvl 80 it was hardly soloable, needed atleast 14+ shots).
Counts as a daily quest, but rewards no Champion Seal.

If you keep doing the Molten Front quests, those are 17, you can do 8 more argent daily quests, there are 9 overall +1 with this.
