Occasionally instead of a Deep Jormungar, you will get a Stormforged Mauraduer (iron dwarf) who will come out of a Mole Machine. They are not lootable.

For those who did not read the quest or want to be sure, this can be done near Engine Of The Makers in Storm Peaks. Many, many daily quests from Argent area and more as well as rhino meat can also be gotten here. Fly into K3, grab the daily there as well.

I'm still waiting for Bliz to have a quest where after luring worms up with a drum, you ride them. It seems more accurate than killing them if completing the Dune reference.

When doing the quest, watch for sparkly Mysterious Snow Mounds and use the drums on them. If it's a dwarf you should have enough time to run away before it attacks you, if you dont want to bother fighting it. And for those who didn't realize, the Engine of the Makers is the big hole in the ground in the middle of Storm Peaks. 40,53 is where I killed my worms. :)

Really easy quest. Only killed 4 Jormungar, got the 4 eggs. One mole dwarf thing.

It's definitely random when the worms vs the dwarfs come up. I got 8 dwarfs the first time I did this.

This quest and the associated mobs are very easy to kill. It's more of a pain to find the area and beat out other people summoning the worms.

Sadly, for druids grinding this daily by switching to their feral forms, it ruins the uber Pirates Day transformation buff. You can't use the drums when you're shapeshifted. If you have the Pirate Days buff when you shapeshift, you have to go back to Booty Bay to receive it again. Yarrr!

Now that the coliseum is complete, the Argent Crusade has asked us to help look after the creatures that champions will be fighting.

The giant jormungar have perhaps the strangest diet; they grow strong by eating the eggs of their own kind and the best eggs come from deep jormungar.

Take this drum to the Foot Steppes in central Storm Peaks and play them near the snow mounds you see there. Rouse the deep jormungar, kill them, and gather their egg sacs.
