The teeth are acquired over 20 days by doing the quests given to you by the Venomhide Hatchling the quest provides.
I have encountered 2 of the daily quests on the PTR so far.

One requires you to collect feathers from Rocs in Tanaris so your raptor can decorate itself.

The other that I tested involved collecting Silithid eggs at one of the hives in Tanaris to feed to your hatchling.

I would just like to say... There IS a path down the cliffs. A path connecting Tanaris with Un'Goro. Southwest area in Tanaris, not quite all the way at the bottom.

You're given a baby ravasaur pet that you summon and it gives you quests, which are 1 per day. The first that I got was to feed it 12 silithid eggs from the hive in tanaris, but my friend, the druid, got a quest to collect dinosaur meat so it's probably random. You get 1 baby tooth for each quest, and you need 20 teeth to get the mount, and its one quest per day so it should take 20 days to get the mount . Also the pet can only be summoned in un'goro crater, tanaris and silithus, so bad luck to anybody who was considering keeping the pet.

Okay, after 11 days, my hatchling actually LOOKS like a raptor so, YES, they do grow as the days go by.

Aww, I love how it grows with you. ^^ Makes you feel like you're really raising this. It's going to be a special mount because you'll remember taking care of it and helping it grow up. It's not like you're just given a mount.

Once per day the critter will present a new daily quest from a pool of 3 or so for you to complete, rewarding you a new tooth towards this quest. The Venomhide hatchling grows noticeably in size every few days. Around the 11th day it will reach a 'medium' size and lose it's cartoonish baby sort of look and begin looking more menacing and adult-like.

Toxic Tolerance leads to the quest Venomhide Eggs

Toxic Tolerance is a very annoying quest because you have to be doing damage to the Venomhide Ravasuare for it to be able to bleed on you. The higher level you are the harder of a time you will have with this quest.

Once you do compelte the Toxic Tolerance quest you will then continue o to Venomhide Eggs

Venomhide Eggs is a very easy quest. Just got to the egg piles that you went to for the Lar'korwi quest The Scent of Lar'korwi

Once you are done that you will receive the quest They Grow Up So Fast. This quest gives you a non combot pet that takes up bag space that you summon that will give you a daily quest. Completeing the daily quest will give you a venomhide baby tooth.

To complete They Grow Up So Fast you will need the following

Venomhide Baby Tooth x20
Runecloth x20
Rugged Leather x20
Gold x80

and then presto you have yourself a Venomhide Ravasaur Mount

The portal to Tanaris and the Waygate are easy ways to get there, as it says above, but I found that the two most common quests I got were Gorishi Grub and Searing Roc Feathers. So you either have to run to the south of Un'Goro or of Tanaris a lot but you can't find out which until you are already there.
Personally I think it's better to take the Waygate because it's a short run to the flight path where as Tanaris is a long run and another long run. If you do this one right after doing some of the argent dalies or WG it's just a short flight to Sholazar. Either way though it's a lot of runnin! Think it's going to be worth it though glad to have a match to the Wintersaber.

Got the raptor a couple of days ago. It looks great! Good luck getting yours!

I like to use the CoT portal because no taxi into SBasin. My 2 dailies have been the Searing Roc and Dino Meat (which is Gadgetzan -> then east of the Un'goro flight path).

If there are only 4 daily quests - 2 in Un'goro, 2 in Tanaris - then I wonder, why you can summon him in Silithus too, but in no other zones.

One tip for engineers with high skill.

Make a Wormhole Generator: Northrend, and then you can easily get to Sholazar Basin and through the Waygate to Un'goro really fast. You just need a flying mount, or parachute tinker on your cloak. But the Waygate is only functional if you complete the chain from Avatar of Freya atleast to https://www.wowhead.com/cata/quest=12548, I think.

I dont think the waygate is faster
For my theory i´ll assume most of the people come to have a look at this site are bound to dalaran or somewhere close

If you allready have your hatchling and only want to get a new "daily" i´d just run to the Citadel and use the Tanaris (CoT) portal.

there, you can ask your hatchling what quest it shall be for today. If its the Searing Rocs, head southwest, if not, northwest to Gadgetzan flightpoint and take a flight to UnGoro or SIlithus.

By the time you got to the Waygate, you allready know your "daily" and if you are lucky, you allready are at the grind spot, if not, nothing is lost as it only takes 2-3 minutes flying from Gadgetzan to Cenarion Hold.

This only works if you have nothing to do in Sholozar (dailies/whatever) but as you talked about getting to the waygate first, i´ll assume you are talking about jump on a mount at Krasus Landing and fly there

and getting Ungoro quest alot isnt really a good statistic for one char

If you accidentally delete this quest, the baby teeth do not disappear from your inventory.

You can simply go back to Mor'vek and pick the quest up again, which puts you right back where you were when you deleted it.

Gnomish engineers can make an www.wowhead.com/cata/spell=23489. This is an even faster way to get there considering that the transporter puts you down half way up the glimmering pillar

My wife and I were doing this quest together, I had to feed mine dino meat and she had to collect eggs, when she went to feed her little dino an egg it went to mine instead!
We found out that if two people in a party have the dino out and are both on a quest to feed him you can face either dino to finish the quest. She still got credit but I did not.

I just hit 80 on my horde shaman and decided to see how easy this is compared to the grind for the winterspring frostsaber, and wow, do a daily everyday for 20 days and yay mount, I wish the winterspring grind would have been that simple.

Mage tip: since there are only a handful of ravasaurs and you need to be bled on 20x, instead of killing and waiting for them to respawn I would polymorph them every time they got to 500hp and let them regen, and resume fighting - they can bleed on you over & over.

Getting naked, and punching the venomhides worked really well. It only took 15 minutes. Each venomhide gave me 1~2 poisons. After 15 raptors, it was done.

I accepted this quest with a friend of mine. I noticed that we both always got the same quest, every day. On some occasions, I also saw other players with their dino, doing the same quest as I was doing.

I also tried to abbandon the quest and see what would happen. You can immediately re-accept the quest from your dino. But it will always be the same one. It is not possible to repeat this, until you get the easiest quest. That would be Poached, Scrambled, Or Raw?, in my opinion ;)

Apparently, the random quest is determined on a daily basis and will be the same for all players.

It is possible to accept a quest on one day and finish it another day. You will not be able to accept another quest, though. Only one quest per day can be finished, regardless on what day it was accepted. It is also not possible to accept a second quest, the next day. Only one quest per day can be accepted.

However, this can give some advantage. If you know that you won't be able to do your daily, you login and accept your daily quest. If it is the easy one, you can keep it in your questlog and finish it another day. This will probably save you the trouble of doing the harder one, that could be scheduled for that other day.

Another small advantage would be that you are doing another quest than the other player, that day. So you probably won't find a whole field of killed mobs, because some else did his daily quest, shortly before you. So, no waiting for respawn.

Unfortunately, the teleporter only works for gnomish engineers. I switched from gnomish to goblin engineering for Goblin Jumper Cables XL, and can't use the teleporter anymore.

Or you could have just got Gnomish Army Knife.

Unless of course you mean you switched before Wrath and even then, as far as I know, Goblin Jumper Cables XL have always been useable by both goblin and gnomish engineers(as they don't soulbind) but only Goblin Engineers could make them.

If your sad that your an alliance and have to grind rep create a hordie, get the Raptor mount, and transfer to alliance.

This quest is easily soloed on characters 49+, but by the time the 20 days are us you will be most likely much higher ^^
The quests are all fairly easy, but they may become repetitive. The mount is GREAT!

If you're a high-level character, make sure you are tracking low-level quests when you take out your hatchling. When I was there it was raining in Un'goro and it spawned in tall grass. I couldn't see it and thought it was bugged. It's so very tiny at the beginning.

Just got mine this morning, and I realized having a taller mount is useful. I'm an orc, so I usually have a wolf, but since raptors are taller I can run across more water areas without slowing down and swimming, like on Greengill Coast. Nice change.

Not for the sake of correction, but to hopefully help people like me who adore companion pets, the Obsidian Hatchling (https://www.wowhead.com/cata/item=48120a) that you can buy in Dalaran looks a lot less like the venomhide buddy that you raise for these quests than a lot of people might be expecting based on some comments here. I bought one and was quite disappointed, it's really not the same thing at all.

Ok,, I went to do this qwst on my shammy,, since I started it on my Hunter, And was reading about how to get spit on.. My shammy is 55 so it was easier to do with a few rapters then the 10 it took with my Hunter.. Went in Unarmed took off Mace-(Heirloom, for Healz) spammed Earth Shield ,Healz Totem Kept my Healz Shield and started with 07 skill Unarmed. When 1st raptor was down I had 265 unarmed skill and was spat upon 13 times so at that rate I think Ill be done in 1 more raptor.
Edit: So like I said I figured it would take 2 and it did only thing is I was getting up there in Unarmed at around 270 he was dying faster So I had to take off my shield to get the last 3 spats. Ended up with 281 Unarmed Ta-Da!

I would wish blizzard remade the alliance quests for the wintersaber to be similar to these. This questline is BY FAR much more enjoyable than that silly grind, where atleast 2-3 other people than yourself are grinding at the same time.

It's so wonderful it only takes a few minutes every day, and you actually see progress in the wee little raptor's growth while doing it!

For the first quest while you're trying to get the Venomhides to poison you if you have a remove poison spell you can often get the poison applied twice or more per raptor so you won't need to actually find 20 raptors, one little tip to make that first quest a tad easier.

I can confirm the quest and all the dailies are still doable after the shattering. But due to the mount being a feat of strength I have a nagging suspicion that it will be removed sooner or later. So get it done fast, preferably before cata launches if possible.

NOTE: When you abandon this quest the teeth will stay in your bags.
You can pick the quest up again and still get credit for the teeth you have from the "previous" quest. Very useful if you are doing 25/25 daily quests before the cataclysm release.

AM I doing something wrong here. I have done this quest on 2 previous characters, with no problems. I got the quest, and got my baby raptor. For 4 days he gave me no daily quests. On the 5th day, he gave me a daily for meat, and when I fed him, I got 1 baby tooth. Next day logging in, no quest from baby raptor. Its now been 6 more days and still can't get 2nd daily quest. I've logged the baby raptor in and out numerous times, and logged myself in and out several times, but can't get the 2nd quest. Am I doing something wrong, or is it bugged?

To get Venomhide Baby Tooth , you will have to kill 15 Young Diemetradon so you can get15 of Fresh Dinosaur Meat to feed your hatching ! got 100 % Drop rate !

You will need 15 Days to get the mount , do the daily every day !

I completed this quest on my 1st toon about 8 months ago and it was very cool to watch him "grow up", so naturally I wanted to complete it on my new toons as well. I am however, rather sad that my raptor is not growing like he did the first time. I am now to tooth #17 and #16 on 2 different toons and there has been no growth on either. Does anyone know if they changed this in game? I really enjoyed watching him get bigger as the days progressed. The only other thing I can think of is that I have not been doing it on consecutive days like I did the first time, maybe that has something to do with it. Any ideas?

It is kinda neat to raise your mount from a baby. A three week quest does seem a little long though. It is Horde only though, I think. Everyday, I log in to at least feed her and get a tooth. Can't wait for the 20th tooth!

I haven't seen any Silithus dailies yet, and I've done it on several alts so far, though not all at the same time (and yes, I do have that many 65-80s). Are there any Silithus dailies, or is that just for the fun of having your baby venomhide run around following you while you quest in Silly?

This adorable little hatchling you now have has a quest when you bring it out for the first time. As you can only call it out in the area of Tanaris, Un'Goro Crator, or Silithus, the quest it gives you, and any quests afterwards will be within these areas. The very first quest you get from it is a daily, as well as the single quests from then on, each available after the dailies reset and they are not always the same, usually randomized.
You get one daily from your growing ravasaur per day, and each of the random quests gives you only one Venomhide Baby Tooth. You will need to do your raptor's quests for 20 days before you can hand the main one in (They Grow Up So Fast).

With your expert feeding and care, your venomhide hatchling will grow quickly. As they grow, their hatchling teeth will be replaced by adult teeth. If you keep the teeth shed by your hatchling as it grows, you'll have an easy way to tell when it's mature enough to be trained as a mount.

Your venomhide will let you know what it needs, so pay close attention. When it has shed all of its baby teeth, return to me with your venomhide and the materials for your saddle and I'll do the rest.
