You don't have to land before you jump again. Which means you can jump straight up vertical walls if you just keep the jumps coming.

Two notes that might be helpful.
When complete, you can just "run" down the mountain to the quest-giver without worrying about damage.
You must also dismount the Jumpbot to turn in the quest.
Very fun!

I have no idea how anyone could possibly enjoy this quest...even with view distance at its highest setting it was next to impossible to even get out of the area where the quest begins. On top of it, having to avoid the giants in the process is a serious pain (since finding and executing a path along the mountainside was pointless and impossible).

My advice? /abandon and find another daily.

Dont worry about landing before you execute your next jump, just keep going.

Definetly the fastest daily in the game.

A horde player and I (alliance) ascended the peak at the same time. I fired my rockets and while they didn't do much damage, seemed to knock him off the mountaintop. He ended up all the way at the bottom again. It was awesome to watch, but I felt really bad as well. >_<

It was way more fun to work out a way to jump to the top ^.^

If you have the time, I recommend doing that rather than continuous jumps :D

Funniest quest ever, took me a while to find out where to put the flag, nr1 at castbar. You just have to jump up in the hills right behind the quest giver, use nr3 at castbar to jump, u have to "spamjump" your way up or u will fall down. GL!

Lol if you jump from one side of the top of the mountain to the other you go thru the mountain into glitch land i figured i could have some fun with this so i dismounted as i was jumping thru glitch land and then parachuted and fell thru the game second time i landed in the mine in some area that made me get stuck and had to hearth. just found this funny

For those who want to know:
The quest giver is at 57,62 to the side/back of a building.

Also L85 Paladin got 89 Rep Explorer's League 13G 23S.

I'm not sure I'll do this quest I can - I HATE HEIGHTS and it scared me to jump around up there even in a game.

P.S. Why does this require you to be PvP?

For the record: I found this to me a HUGE investment of time. So it you're trying to get to the next level (pun intended) don't do it. It took me 30 min.

I've only done this once. I worked my way up from the SW (about 8 o'clock on the minimap). I will try it again and see if I can do it any faster.

There's a mountain right there where you accept the quest. Use your boost (number 3) to get up the mountain. You don't have to wait until you settle to boost again, so just keep aiming higher and keep firing those boosters! When you get to the top, plant the banner (1) on the skulls. The missiles you have (2) are only good to prevent others from reaching the top, not for killing any monsters. You don't take any damage for falling while in the robot, so just jump off back towards the quest giver when you're done.

Stupid thing won't jump. All I get for clicking the jump jets is a green target circle and when I cast it on myself & the bot, we just jiggle a little, and never leave the ground. Unless somebody explains this to me pretty fast, I'm abandoning this quest.

Okay - somebody explained it . . . aim the green target circle ever higher on the mountain & hope to heck you gain a toehold? Bizarre . . .

I tried with the green circle on the ground, too. It doesn't work. The machine is poorly describe as a jumper. Rather the green circle functions as a grappling hook.

Aim the green target circle UP to where you want to go, then hit the hot key. I found it easiest to do using the mouse to aim and the keyboard #3 to fire the key.

Plant the flag at the top and jump back down -- there's no fall damage in a machine.

Frazzle Geargrinder in Ymirheim wants you to use her Geargrinder's Jumpbot to plant the Alliance Battle Standard in the skulls at the top of the mountain.

You've just got to get my jumpbot to the tippy top of the mountain to the northwest here at Ymirheim pronto, <name>!

That dastardly, no-good Blast Thunderbomb is working on his own bot, and I'm afraid he almost has it completed. We're in a race to see who's gonna be king of the mountain!

Once you jump up there, plant our battle standard in the pile of bones and show everyone that the Alliance, and my engineering skills, are the best!
