Above coords confirmed, at the bottom of the cave is Patches chained to a Metal Stake. Click the stake and the doctor will spawn. Patches will solo him so you don't have to do any fighting whatsoever.

If you are nearby when someone else completes the "Kill doctor Sabnok" part you will get credit. Still need to free Patches, but you don't even have to be grouped for the first part.

This quest seems to have been implemented rather lazily. Patches will lose more health than, and he will only deal minimal damage to, Sabnok, yet the Doctor just ... falls over dead at 97%. Couldn't they have given Patches an Enrage or something to make it more believable? Anything would have done.

Just don't do what I did, which was to panic when I saw Patches dying and to run away, fearing that the good Doctor might come after me next. Had to repeat it to get credit.

How do you get this quest? I've done all the quests up to killing embalming and blood orbs and she won't give the next quest to me.

I ran into the same problem. You must first complete the quests I'm Smelting... Smelting! and The Runesmiths of Malykriss to open this quest.

And to unlock those quests you will need to complete Jagged Shards

This two-part quest can actually be done in reverse. I went in to Patches following behind an Alliance character who was on the same quest. The Alliance character freed Patches, so I sat down close by and waited for the drama to unfold. At the end of Patches' bout with the Doctor I got a "Help Patches Kill Doctor Sabnok" complete message. So I waited about ten seconds for Patches to respawn, freed him, and completed the quest backwards.

I think mine bugged first. The chains didn't get Patches out, but still I got quest objective complete. The Doctor laughed, unattackable, but then I could attack him so I did. This didn't work though, but after some time I could free him again and now he's killing the doctor.

i'd recommend not using stealth. with my rogue, i went behind the doctor and stealthed, waiting for him to become attackable, but it never happened. got credit for freeing patches but not killing the doctor even though he keeled over pretty fast. tried again without stealth and it worked fine (i.e. doctor magically dies in about 15s).

EDIT: 2nd time, doctor became attackable.

I just tried to do this quest and I wasn't able to attack the Doctor until after Patches died. Part of the way through, Patches respawned so I stunned the Doctor to free Patches a second time. He began to attack with me but then I had to stand in place for like 15 seconds before I got credit for it. It was just very odd.

If you try to help Patches kill the Doctor, you will not get credit for the second half, "help Patches kill the Doctor." Just stand there and, I dunno, watch TV for a couple minutes or something.
Also, if you screw this up, just wait about 30 seconds and Patches will respawn; let him off the chain and he'll go after the doc again.

The cave entrance is at 34, 69 (Fleshworks on your map). On your way in, you'll see a drainage spout on your right to a lower level. Drop down there and click the post to unleash Pataches. Then you watch the short fight and it's over.

if your having trouble getting "the kill" stand right at the same spot as the doctor so your as near to him as possible and you wont get hurt or come to harm and you will get the quest to kill completed

helped patches 5 times before i tried this !

So they've been embedding these ghouls with broken shards of saronite down in the Sanctum of Reanimation? We must put a stop to this, before these ghouls can be deployed against our troops.

Find the entrance to the Sanctum of Reanimation in the flesh giant lab area of the Fleshwerks. There, the ghoul mastermind, Doctor Sabnok, keeps the most fearsome of his creations, Patches. Free Patches from his chains and help him take his revenge on the doctor. Let his own creation be his undoing.
