The carrots weren't super easy to find, but they were there. I found some on both sides of the river, to the east of where you port down from Dalaran.

Almost all of them were by clumps of tree, but it took me a couple of minutes of riding to find them all.

If you're herbalist and have track herbs active the carrots show up on the minimap making them really easy to find.

Chilled meat; Comes from killing mobs. Random, but very high drop of it.
Carrots; use the portal stone in Dalaran down to Crystalsong. Carrots are around in the forrest. When you have 4 of both, make a fire, and cook it up.

Go to Dalaran, at 60,47, wich is an entrance to the Sewers. The Inn in the Sewers are at approx 59,46.

There is a stove in the inn for those who can't find a fire to stop and cook at on their way from Crystalsong Forest to the The Sewers. The stove is SE of the innkeeper.

You can find them on both sides of the river, even if it said "crystalsong Forest" and the other side of the river is called "The Twilight Rivulet". They spawn there too

When you find them, the carrots show up with the expected sprocket and glittery lights, just like manaberries do on the lower level daily cooking quest. You can only pick four, so no stockpiling for the next time the quest comes around.

FYI, there were no mobs down by the river when I went. At first, I headed north (the wrong way!), saw lots of lvl 80s and asked my lvl-73-self, is this cooking quest really worth it? But it is: really, very easy.

Just head east, through the pillars, down the stone ramp, out to the edge of the "patio", you'll see the (mob-free) river. Go to it, turn right, run along the edge until you see the sprocket/lights, pluck, repeat one time and then cross the river, head back plucking along the way, easy as pie.. or in this case, vegetable (yes, *not* "vegetarian") stew!

BTW, the turn in for the quest is down 1 lvl within the sewers -- not up top where the golden "?" would seem to indicate (usually they are dim if they are "underground")

I've done the cooking daily every day since I hit Dalaran and it's been like 2 weeks and I have yet to see this daily lol common bliz I want my achievement!

I contacted a GM on this just yesterday due to 4 in a row infused Mushroom quests but no Sewer Stew, they came back with working fine just a random chance on Daily Quests of which to appear.

My guess is that Sewer Stew is a 10% chance roll.

To find the Crystalsong Carrot(s) they are under Dalaran, at 30.4, 38.3.

If you are a Herbalist you can activate Find Herbs. And you will see the Crystalsong Carrot(s) on your Minimap.

To some degree, the carrots seem to spawn in unison. I've done the daily a dozen times, and every time I go to look for the carrots, there is not a single node on the entire map, and then 5 to 10 minutes later, half a dozen nodes spawn at the exact same moment. Not in quick succession as one would expect, as one person will gather four nodes that are close to each other in succession, but they always spawn in perfect unison for me.

i am trying to do sewer stew and i have the chilled meat and i found the carrots under dalaran but i can not pick them and they r not glowing i was wondering if there is something special i have to do?

For those of you who, like me, got a port from a friend into Dalaran, set your hearthstone there, and never learned how to get out besides the big city portals, let me drop a few hints.

For this quest, and to get into Crystalsong Forest, you can talk to the Portal Trainer at coords 56, 47 in Dalaran. She will have you do a quest called Learning to Leave and Return: the Magical Way. The portal you need to use is a purple gem right behind the trainer's head. It will take you down to Violet Strand.

From Violet Strand you can run a bit to the east, taking you under Dalaran, and to an area that had plentiful Crystalsong Carrots when I ran out. Mobs in the area were around level 78. I was able to carefully avoid them, or run away if I got aggro, and collect carrots at level 71.
You can then return to the portal trainer, Archmage Celindra, and turn in the Leave and Return quest for a tiny bit of XP (I got 2100) and rep (10 points with Kirin Tor) as an added bonus.

From there you can get your chilled meats, if you haven't already, and cook up the stew for the cooking quest!

Paired this with The Ghostfish for the following reasons:
-Crystalsong has the Carrots, but NO Chilled Meat!
-Fishing levels with Cooking, and both are quite hard to level in Northrend.
-It's easy to get Chilled Meat in Sholazar.
-Good to get Rhino Dogs with and save a few days ahead (Mustard Dogs! takes 4) .
-General leveller of Cooking.
-And a great way of gaining a few spices, cooking awards, and liable pets!

How to do this fast:

1: Use the Portal in Dalaran to CrystalSong Forest.
2: Go near the lake.
3: Search around lake (Look at the bottom of the trees near lake)

P.S When you come from the portal.. Go to the other side of the lake. They spawn alot there.. Takes 30sec. to find 4 ;D

I have done the cooking dailies many times, and I'm trying to get Our Daily Bread. I have olny been able to Get the quests Infused Mushroom Meatloaf and Mustard Dogs. Has anyone else had the same problem?

I find it easiest to farm the chilled meats from arctic rams on the mountains in northern Dragonblight, its one of the highest drop rates and closest to Dalaran.

For those of you who are map unaware such as myself, the location of these eggs is below Dalaran itself, not on the edge or anything, they can be found on the river near the trees on the ground!

Totally wrong... you´ll find the carrots North/Northeast of the port stone, just across the river, one inside "Forlorn Woods" you´ll find alot of em. E

In Dalaran, go to the Violet Gate, 55, 46.
Click the crystal which will teleport you down to Crystalsong Forest.
Travel east to 28, 40. You will find ruins there.
All around the outside edge of the ruins you will find the carrots.

Herbalists will be able to track the carrots on their mini-map.

The innkeeper is on the other side of the Circle of Wills.

For those who've got coords - I found some at 27, 45 and 27, 47 .. I just ran up and down along the river there and finally got all I needed .. lots of people after them for the daily and respawn isn't overly speedy.

The Chilled Meat is easy to get at the elevator in Howling Fjord. You remember your first cook quest ;)

The Carrots are in the Crystal are south/southeast of the port stone. They sparkle like normal pickup Questitems. !ONLY IN FOREST AREA!

Done in ~5 Min (without hte fly time)

Use the Stew Cookpot in your inventory near a fire, once you've got all the items.

When you've picked up the Crystalsong Carrot, if you fly into Dalaran via the Sewer Pipe at 21.3, 47.4, it will take you straight to the quest NPC Ajay Green.

Ajay Green the innkeeper in the Dalaran sewers needs a vegetable stew for his customers as they are running low on food down there.

Collect 4 Crystalsong Carrots from the Crystalsong Forest and cook them together with 4 Chilled Meat.

You can get to the Crystalsong Forest from the portal chamber in the eastern corner of Runeweaver Square.

Once the vegetable stew is ready, bring it to Ajay.
