I can't seem to find the Everfrost Shards in the cave, I've killed all the mobs checked all the rocks but no shards =(

Cave Entrance is at 55.87, 64.60.

You will find the Everfrost Shards at the very back of the cave, they do not sparkle. They are a smoky green crystal sticking out of the ground.

The Stoic Mammoth Hides are drops from Stoic Mammoths which can be found outside the entrance to the cave.

Edit: It appears that if you are a skinner you will receive the mammoth hides at a 100% drop rate from skinning.

For those having trouble finding the shards, they are more like blue/grey crystals sticking up from the ground surrounded my water that has frosted over.

The buff you get for this quest just makes it even more amusing. 'See Hodir's Spear'

Is it really that hard to see? Reference to something small or near invisible perhaps?

People I have 1 question about this quest I really need to know:

Does it count for the quest tittle of Storm Peaks?
If yes i am raising rept with these guys a bit.
If not... I don't care...
I am stuck at 99/100 and I am friendly with them.... I could raise to Honored and.... done!

These 2 quests are linked. Raising Hodir's Spear collects materials for Thrusting Hodir's Spear. The Raising-quest will not be available again until you finish the Thrusting because you haven't used up the spear you collected in the first place.

If you skip one of these quests the other quest wont come back meaning there are 2 daily quests you miss out every day.

They are the shards that stick up from the floor of the cave in the "pit" where the Jormutter appears. It looks like a lake on the map.

The shards are inside the cave, exactly at coordinates 54,60. The shards DO NOT sparkle, just mouse over the blue-green ice spike looking things are you can see which ones you can pick up.

Go in the cave at (56, 63). The same cave where you probably fought Jomatter for another quest. Deep in the cave are the crystals that you need to loot.

Then kill the mamoths outside the cave to get the hides.

Lorekeeper Randvir in Dun Niffelem wants you to collect 3 Everfrost Shards from the depths of Hibernal Cavern and 3 Stoic Mammoth Hides from the Stoic Mammoths in the Valley of Ancient Winters.
