According to the quick research I did, these are the order of the quests, from first to last:

As a level 75 Warlock (standard FG/SL build) I have not been able to solo this (compared to other equal level elites I've handled). The magnatur seems to do something with the aggro off my FG or VW -- at times it just decreases with 10k in an instant. As healing the pet with Healthfunnel and just 1-2 DOTs make my aggro trail pretty close, that's a death sentence (you can get out once via Soulshatter, but then you have a problem).

Soloed as a 80 pala mostly in quest and blacksmithing blues. I didn't even have to bubble, 5k health left after the fihgt. Used the medallion of heroism to heal myself twice.

He has a buff on him that does ~2.5k per tick to nearby enemies, every 2 secs. This is spell reflecatble and it does not break spell reflect. Can help do some extra damage and keep aggro if youre a warrior.

I doubt that this can be soloed as a pre-80 Hunter (I don't see 80 being much easier unless your gear is absolutely amazing). At least not without some serious luck.

While the first fight in this chain isn't too bad, even at 78 with maximized pet mitigation and healing (Spirit Bond, Glyph of Mending, Blood of the Rhino, Silverback, etc. etc. etc.) there's no possible way to keep up with the damage this guy deals. His buff can't be dispelled and isn't considered an AoE. While it might be considered nature damage, even 3/3 Great Resistance and Aspect of the Wild isn't nearly enough mitigation. You might be able to kite him... but the arena is pretty small for that (and you are completely screwed if you have even a few frames of lag).

If you have a pocket healer, though, I can see this being fairly trivial assuming they pay attention to their threat.

Almost impossible for a level 80 warlock to solo as affliction. I didn't have improved voidwalker, as a result fo this, the voidwalker sucked at holding aggro, spamming health funnel just kept me barely below the aggro threshold, but if I tried to do any dps (meaning to get health back from using health funnel), I would almost automatically pull dps. Also, whenever my voidwalker was knocked back, the amount of aggro generated from health funnel during the knockback would also pull aggro.

It is possible to solo this as enhancement Shaman at 80 (no amazing gear), but not easy. You'll need your full arsenal of Fire Elemental, spirit wolves and bloodlust (SR helps as well of course). As stated before, nature resistance isn't really worth it, so just go Windfury and zerg him down with your pets, they will most likely output enough healing for you. Only use a MW5 heal if really necessary (wasn't for me) and you should be able to get him down within your feral spirit timer.

Soloed as a lvl 80 blood DK.
HC gear doing 2500 DPS.
I started the fight by putting a Mark of Blood on him en fought him till it weared of.
After the Mark of blood is gone, summon your Army of the Dead. In my case they where around for the entire fight and died 5-10 secs afterward.

Easy as pie.

T9 geared feral druid picking up this for the achievement. This was easily soloed in cat form, although I got down to about 20% health. No tricks just a standard rotation (with mangle of course, can't get behind him to shred). I did pick up the buffs from the statues, which are nearby, and laid on some HoTs before engaging him.

Seems to me if you want the achievement for a little pre-Cataclysm lore completion, an ICC geared character should be able to get at least this far through the chain, which put me at 100 quests :)

Solo'd this on a 80 BM hunter after some experimentation (read: failures).

Use a tenacity pet, naturally. Keep cower off. Keep mend pet up 100% of the time. Stack stamina on your gear and make sure your pet has all the +stam talents it can get. Stay in Aspect of the Viper 100% of the time. Reserve misdirection for whenever your pet gets knocked back and you get aggro. Feign death is good as a last resort, but his AoE can kill you quickly. Have a good health pot ready just in case.

Can be done for the achievement by an 80 bear tank with all blues. Had to use most cooldowns and one pot, but ended the fight with a few thousond health. Ensure you throw up some HoT before the fight and I used Frenzied Regen. early on to keep my health up near 80%.

Soloable as a Lvl 77 Beastmaster Hunter with a Lvl 76 Bear :)
It was a bit difficult, but its possible.

You will need:

A tanking Pet (a Bear for example)
A tanking Specc for your pet (Blood of the Rhino and Last Stand are pretty handy in this fight)
Glyph of Mending! It helps to keep your Pet alive!
Aspect of the Wild (With this your pet should have around 300 nature resistance, which will decrease the dmg from Magnataur's Nature-Aura by around 51%)

Great Resistance and Pet Barding are also quite handy, but i've managed to kill Magnataur without those two talents.

Go into the Arena and try to keep Mend Pet on your pet. If your pet doesn't have it for more than 3-4 Seconds it will die realy quick. Don't try to kite him to the upper Part of the Arena... he will despawn. Magnataur will use a Knockback every 30 seconds or so which decrease the threat on your pet by a fair amount, so look at yourself ;)

To solo him as a low lvl Shadow Priest ( I was 78) you must have the talent Masochism( so you never run out of mana) and spam flash heals on yourself while dots tick on him.

I know people don't necessarily care about who soloed what, but I managed to solo this as a 75 Prot pally in mostly brutal/blue gear.

He had me at about 10% when I killed him and I was forced to spam flash heal and use Divine Plea. And spamming WoG was also needed. So yes, it is possible.

i soloed the first boss of this chain Yggdras at lvl 75 in demonology specc as a warlock but i found this guy completely impossible to solo. hits like 4 times as hard as the first boss....

As a level 75 hunter, this guy was difficult. He killed my pet a few times and I was about to give up before realising that Aspect of the Wild carries the resistance over to my pet as well xP (first hunter). So I did that, and god damn does this guy -still- hit like a truck. Just keep mend pet rolling on a fully survival specced tanking pet (I use a Turtle for the Shell Shield) and blow him away as fast as possible, and resist the urge to put Aspect of the Hawk back on!
