Go inside the vault, straight ahead their will be a weapon rack by the big statue at the end.

Clicking it spawns General Lightsbane. He is a level 80 elite. The 3 people you killed and turned earlier will come to your aid. He has around 60,000 hitpoints.

Soloed on a disc/holy priest.

I CANOT FIND THIS #$%^ER DOES THE NPC DISAPEAR AND SPAWN AT DIFFRENT POINTS CAUSE I JUST ROAD ANOUD IN A CIRCLE IN THE @#$%EN GUN SHIP AND DIDENT SEE HIM RAN ALL OVER THE PLACE

You know, I think that some of these comments were from the beta and they nerfed it. I was all nervous about this and it was wasted. This was a fairly easy solo for my shadow priest, and I spent most of my time in normal form ecause he diseased me and I had to abolish it. I never even cured myself as he hits for about 600 on my clothie, just built up dots and vampiric stuff, and flayed him down, and shielded whenever weakened soul fell - I had aggro about 2/3rds of the time, used the mobs as dps.

If I was not able to shield I would have hit him less hard - and I could have faded when I needed to lose aggro but I didn't.

I think they nerfed this by making him hit less hard, and that is reasonable for a quest you need and need to solo.

Flew over all the mobs in the room without aggroing them, and none joined the fight.

You're able to fly in the Shadow Vault to get to the weapon racks. It makes this quest WAY easier if you've trained Cold Weather Flying.

He doesn't hit very hard, and if you're a class that can't take much damage, Vile can act as your tank. The only thing I noticed him casting was Death and Decay. Easily soloable.

Rogues, simply start the fight, wait till your back-up turns-up, vanish, eat/bandage/pot/whatever, and watch him die. Easy alone at 77.

Be careful, I got over-zealous and kept aggro on myself. He killed me but I stayed in my body as he was only at about 5% health. Even though I had not released and the other three NPC's finished him off I DID NOT GET CREDIT. Be sure to stay alive when he dies or you'll have to do the whole thing over.

The General's weapon rack can be found at {45,20} inside the Vault. The entrance to the vault is to the left of the quest giver.

You can fly right in. The 3 you helped before will kill with you.
If you Aggro other mobs the 3 will help kill those to.
The one i Aggrod droped a nice green.

BINGO - Once you are done killing the guy - If you are Horde - Hearth / Fly back to Dalaran and speak to Sky-Reaver Klum. He is near the flight path in Dalaran. He will fly you to the ship automatically so you don't have to waste time looking for the ship. I hope this helps.

To turn this in, just go to where the quest helper arrow directs you and make sure u are close enough to see the giants below you just stay there and rotate your screen all around and the ship will show up. It goes slow enough to get onto it to turn in your quest. Turning this in was harder than killing him. I did it alone with my lvl 78 pali and no prob, until i tried to find the ship. Hope this helps :)

How to find the general. He will be on the ground floor. Directly in front of the quest giver, the Baron, is a large door into the vault. Fly thru it high and at full speed. Go straight to the back wall. You will see a sparkling object at 45,20. You dont need the Coor really its obvious. Click it. The General will show up but dont worry the others come and help you. It was easy. You might need to fight your way out.

Descrizione

Death knights, such as General Lightsbane, are held on too tight of a leash to be able to be turned from the Lich King's will except under the most extraordinary circumstances.

The general keeps himself within the vault overseeing the creation of new weapons. Disturb one of his weapon racks at the northern forge and I assure you, he will come. I'll send Vile, Lady Nightswood, and The Leaper in to help you.

If we are to finally own The Shadow Vault, General Lightsbane must fall!
