Just north of the bend in the frozen river, look for a ruined building hanging off the cliff face. Just past this is an abandoned camp.

Looking from the river side, the snow pile is under the clump of trees to the left of the tent.

Just north of the bend in the frozen river, best way to put it. You'll know yer in the right place if you see Frostborn dwarves. Just click on the Glinting mud err... Disturbed snow.

I was looking at the comments for the Alliance version of this quest (On Brann's Trail), and apparently the questgiver says a few sentences out loud after you turn in the Alliance version. These spoken sentences give clues as to what was actually written in the Burlap-Wrapped Note. When I turned in the Horde version I didn't see the questgiver say anything at all. Did I miss some RP? Is the Horde version supposed to have a spoken summary of what the note said at the end too, like the Alliance version does?

Just so that you can see what I'm talking about, here's what the Alliance version's questgiver says after you turn it in:

Archaeologist Andorin says: It's those blasted iron dwarves again! Somehow, they found him before we did.
Archaeologist Andorin says: They're not going to give up until they find him. We can't allow that to happen, <name>, and Brann knows it.
Archaeologist Andorin says: There are some rather cryptic instructions in this note. Brann must've had some kind of backup plan, but he can't keep evading capture forever...
Archaeologist Andorin says: It's up to you to find him before the irons do!

You get some RP at the end of this chain, after you break the so-called language barrier. You'll speak with Brann Bronzebeard directly via the communicator, in the follow-up quest.

Brann Bronzebeard says: I... I can understand you now! Well, now that we can talk to each other, you have some explaining to do!
Brann Bronzebeard says: How did you get my communicator from the Explorer's League?
You say: If the Explorer's League sent men, I didn't see any trace of them. I found your note buried in the camp overrun by iron dwarves.
Brann Bronzebeard says: You have my thanks for dispatching the iron dwarves. But why would the Horde have an interest in me?
You say: A scout found the remains of your journal in Thor Modan. We've been looking for you ever since.
Brann Bronzebeard says: That wouldn't be Scout Vor'takh, would it? Even I know of his reputation for ruthlessness. He means to abduct me, then?
Brann Bronzebeard says: If you've seen the journal, then you know what I've been discovering. The titans' own creations are at war with each other!
Brann Bronzebeard says: Loken and his iron dwarf minions have ousted the Earth from Ulduar and taken over the city.
Brann Bronzebeard says: If we spend out tiem and strength fighting with each other, Loken will use Ulduar's resources to destroy both Horde and Alliance.
Brann Bronzebeard says: Speak to the commander at your post, lad, and persuade him to abandon Vor'takh's foolish plan.

The part mentioning Thor Modan refers to a questline in Grizzly Hills in which Scout Vor'takh tries to locate and capture Brann in plot to extort the king of Ironforge.

Coords are correct but here's some extra detail: its in a mound of snow, under some trees, in the abandoned camp. There are dwarfs nearby. Hostile to Horde.

Retrieve the Burlap-Wrapped Note from Brann's camp and return it to Boktar Bloodfury at the Grom'arsh Crash-Site.

Before we left, I received the file Scout Vor'takh compiled on this Brann Bronzebeard. There can be no doubt that Brann was headed for the Storm Peaks from his journal entries and findings in Grizzly Hills. Before we crashed, I caught sight of a campsite south of here, across the Foot Steppes, and overlooking the frozen Bor's Breath River.

If Brann isn't there, search the camp and its environs for any clues as to where that blasted dwarf might've gone. Bring back anything you find.
