If you trample them at least once (I assume) and then your mammoth dies, you can still kill them and get credit.

If you have the ability to use Crossbows then take the Frigid Crossbow as your reward, with a weapon speed of 1.50 it's the fastest in the game and means you'll be able to level up your Crossbow skill easier. At the moment the only one that comes anywhere near is the Swiftwind at 2.00

Be prepared to be irritated, this is one of the most annoying quests ever...

As stated above, this quest is painfully slow and boring. The mount walks at about 10% movement speed, it hits like a wet noodle, and the mobs only spawn about once per minute across the entire camp.

I didn't get any loot off any of the trolls I killed here . Even after I got off and killed without the Mamoth .

If you're annoyed at the slow movement and casting speed of the mammoth, or just want more opportunity to level your weapon skills etc, know that you don't actually have to be on the mammoth to get quest credit for the kills. That and it's amusing to Mortal Strike/Death Coil/Firebolt/whatever your enemy and have it pop up as "Mam'toth Disciples Trampled to Death: 1/12".

EDIT: I'm not sure if this is intended, but it works for now :)

For those wondering, you can jump down safely without the risk of dying, the mamoth will take the blow, although it won't die either.

While YOU lot are whinging about the quest, I will put here what people really need to know (as it is not showing on the map).

The mammoths are in and around 73,40.

PS: I just did this quest and it took 5 minutes!

Scalper Ahunae at Zim'Torga wants you to use the Medallion of Mam'toth to calm and ride an Enraged Mammoth. You are then to trample 12 Mam'toth Disciples to death.

Ahunae hear about your trip to Mam'toth Crater, mon. The children of Mam'toth are enraged and cry out for justice!

Follow the avenue northeast up the steps to the next tier of Zul'Drak. On your right you will find what's left of the Altar of Mam'toth.

When you get there, flash this Medallion of Mam'toth in front of the eyes of one of the enraged mammoths. It'll calm down for a little while, letting you hop on its back.

Ride it around, trampling all of the Mam'toth disciples that you can find!
