Not only do you get the Deathcharger you get a Sigil for your Deathknight as well.

I completed this quest however I did not recieve the deathcharger. I got the sigil and the riding training but no mount. Is there something that I may have done wrong?

Sorry, disregard my previous comment, still getting used to summoning mounts from the new pet section lol. Don't make the same mistake I did! :P

You do not start with a Deathcharger, you must complete this quest to achieve one.
Once you have completed a few quests, you get given this one by Salanar the Horseman - it's the 2nd quest in a 2 part series.

Once you have completed it, you can summon your new Deathcharger by pressing "CTRL + P" for the Pet/Mounts tab (or pressing C, selecting pets) and then clicking on mount/dismount.

You can of course drag this to a bar for quick access.

To complete this quest:

When you are in the Shadow of Realms go to farm where you killed the villagers before..
Fight a Dark Rider of Acherus and steal his horse..
When you are sitting on the mount use the spell on your bar and you will summon Salanar the Horseman

Same concept as stealing horses in the quest before this in the chain... steal the horse from a Dark Rider down the path where you killed scarlet crusaders. You get your 100% mount at level 55 for free... after doing an easy quest. Pretty hawt.

i think i ran into a glitch, i completed the quest and got the sigil of the dark rider, but i did not get journeyman riding or acherus deathcharger?:(

I, too, feel the quest is bugged. I got the trinket but no riding skill or mount. Any idea what I may need to do?

While in the Realm of Shadows and on the death charger you just stole, you can quickly explore the entire Death Knight starting areas to exploration experience. The only mobs to worry about are in the central farm area. At level 55, it's 815 xp per area with about 13 areas, giving well over 10,000 xp. Easy xp for five minutes of running around.

Watch that you don't aggro multiple of these guys, they don't seem to leash.

this q is also a chance to freak ppl out... if you already get the horse and you aggro another rider he starts doing lots of throws and if you talk to the guy and leave the realm of shadows other ppl will see lots of axes appearing out of thin air!

this q has sort of an easter egg in it.. when you hear someone say "kill them all" when you enter the realm of shadows.. thats the same voice and words you hear if you have the ashbringer and he says the few lines :D

when i am in shadow of realms i see a lot of mobs named Dark Rider of Acherus. but they're not mounted. what to do ? there is no point of killing them...

Surprisingly, when I entered the Realm of Shadows, I couldn't help noticing that I could've sworn I heard a voice from the Corrupted Ashbringer, saying: "Kill them all...". I'm quite certain this is the quote.
Anyone else heard this too?

i kill the 1 of the many guyz on horses and i cant get onhorse , it doesnt let me interact with horse , and the the horse disssapears like any corpse

i cant "get" the horse, it just falls sideways and i cant pick him up or sth...

As of, at least, patch 4.06, you no longer have to complete all the quests. I picked up this quest very early on, and completed only 2 quests prior to completing this one, and, yes, did receive the death charger and am able to ride.

What do you do if the horse just falls over sideways? I tried to start the quest over and everything, but it just keeps happening... Help?

So far, none of the quests I've done with my Death Knight have been hard - but the instructions leave a lot to be desired.

A true er word never said.. These quests are simple as hell... Once you figure out what the Hell they;re talking about...

So far, none of the quests I've done with my Death Knight have been hard - but the instructions leave a lot to be desired. First: when you get down below (go down by the Mine, it's quicker), you'll run into one or more guys on horseback. There won't be anything to show it, but any of those will do. Attack and mount the horse after you win. Ride it back up the hill.

When you get back up the hill, there's no obvious way to turn in the quest. But, like the previous quest, hit the "1" key when you return to where you started. You will automatically do the "Call" and Salanar will appear to let you turn in the quest.

Ran into a glitch. I got disconnected just before I turned in Grand Theft Palomino but I had already given him the horse. Reconnected and turned in the quest and got send to the Shadow Realm...but there's nothing here...and no way to get out...help?

Completed this twice now on two different realms and both times I never received the mount. Received the Sigil but no mount, which is a bit of a pain.

If you can't find the Acherus Deathcharger in your bags, have a look in your spellbook under the PETS TAB.
This is where all the mounts are. Hunters will have PETS and MOUNTS additional selections under the PETS TAB.

in shadow realms, go back where you caught horsey before and fight the rider. capture mount again.
return to quest giver area and use vehicle action bar button 1. once the quest giver shows up and letters his text down in chat, one can exit mount vehicle and leave shadow realm. then go to quest giver and redeem mount.

Descrizione

The horse you stole has been taken to the Realm of Shadows. It is there that my dark rider will slay the beast and raise it as a deathcharger. Do you think yourself brave enough to enter the Realm of Shadows in pursuit of the deathcharger?

If you accept, I will transport you to the shadow world. Once there, seek out a dark rider in the open fields south of us. To emerge victorious you must slay him, overtake his deathcharger and return it to Death's Breach. Issue the Horseman's Call should you succeed.
