The "sturdy vines" are hanging from the trees. A good number are currently too high to reach (beta 8820)

Click on the vine and various fruit will fall down from the tree. Click on the fruit to pick it up. Kinda cute novelty quest line.

If you have cold weather flying you can fly next to the vines that are too high and dismount, clicking the vine on the way down.

You can some times get a Adventurous Dwarf to fall out of the tree when you pull the vine, he says "Ouch! Watch where you're tugging!".

If you talk to him you can ask for one of the fruit you still need.

He says "Glad I could help!" then walks away.

Basically a Wild card for this quest.

Sweet, I got all of them in a row, 2 banannas, the papaya, then the orange. No dwarfs though. :(

suggest that you head to 38.9 63.2 for the best place to find vines. also suggest you have the cobra and crocolisk quests while looking for the vines.

Had trouble finding these vines, but came upon 37, 62 as a decent place for more of them. (Questhelper had them listed in a different place which threw me off some).

EDIT: Just noticed above poster's comments, thus confirming the coords as a decent spot to find more.

The "sturdy vines" has random fruit, but this is where I found the fruits.
Also there can be a Adventurous Dwarf falling down from the "sturdy vines"
who can give you what you are missing.

There is no co-ordinates, just shake the trees around the area proposed. A dwarf might pop out, if so ask him for bananas, they are the hardest to find.

Do not try to mount this while using one of the loaned flying mounts from "Honest" Max in Storm Peaks! The fruit will drop, but will just fling off into the distance forever, never hitting the ground...

Around 34, 61 in the murky forest area is where you find most of the vines. I had trouble finding these until I looked in this general area. Note that the horizon should be blurred by the nasty foresty air, unlike other parts of the zone.

This quest is like a jackpot, you need very good luck to finish it within 4 pulls. For me, it took me an hr. The probability design kinda sucks. Theoretically it is possible that you could never finish this quest.

first two pulls, I got banana's, third pull a papaya, and fourth, a dwarf...
so I got it in 4 pulls

The first time I did this quest on the Horde. I did not get the Dwarves falling from the trees giving me fruit. However, the second time, I did and they gave me what I needed. 4/4 pulls on the Alliance. Much easier than as a troll.

Hmm, not sure if this is a bug or not. I had apparently finished the collection for the quest (all 4 fruit), but for some reason, the vines were still sparkling. I thought I still had more to collect, and so was trying to click on the sparkling vines to no avail. It wasn't until 10 minutes later after I had turned off all my addons and back on, still with no luck, that I realized I had finished the quest.

Unfortunately, if you're experiencing the same thing and have come here for clues, you've probably already wasted 10+ minutes in game trying to work it out.

I had a hard time finding these vines at first, but I found a spot, where it respawned after like 10 seconds..

At the same time, I killed the Crocodiles for the Quest, "Crocolisk Mastery: The Trial", which turned out fine.

For those who just want to unlock this quest for cooking, here are the quests you need to do first:

Venture Co Misadventure and the follow-up Wipe That Grin Off His Face.
Need an Engine, Take an Engine and the follow-up Have a Part, Give a Part.
Dreadsaber Mastery: Becoming a Predator
Rhino Mastery: The Test. You don't need to do the follow-up to this.

After you've finished this quest, Still At It and The Taste Test you need to find Washed-up Mage in Dalaran to learn the recipe.

if you are level 75 ish its also great to do the quests beacuse you get alot of xp and from the monsters you have to kill you get alot of meat that you can use lateron for higher cooking

I could not get this quest when I first checked with Grimbooze, but he offered it after I had done the first rhino and dreadsaber hunting quests. (It was not a level issue, as i was 80 when I first came to Sholozar).

I don't know if they changed it, but I pulled quite a few vines over the river while completing "The Great Hunter's Challenge" and only ever got papayas and oranges, but as soon as I pulled a vine over land both times got a dwarf and got my bananas.

After you pull the vine the dwarf will fall out claiming to be careful so to not hit him.
You then click on the dwarf to talk to him and he will give you the bananas.

The Fruits are found on vines in the Wildgrowth Mangal. They are random drops off the vines so you have to keep pulling the vines till you get the fruit that you need.

36.0 65.7 has a vine that drops a dwarf.
The vines are not random they consistantly drop the same fruit type there are just a lot of them.
Also, if you remember where the fruits are you can go back if someone got there first and didn't pick the fruit up.
The dwarf is great because you talk to her and can ask for whatever type of fruit you want.

Before I could get the first rhino and dreadsaber quests (Dreadsaber Mastery: Becoming a Predator from Buck Cantwell and Rhino Mastery: The Test from Hemet Nesingwary), I had to do 2 quests from Debaar, Venture Co. Misadventure, and then Wipe That Grin Off His Face. I was also lvl 80.

Life's tossed me a cartload of lemons this time! When the ship ran aground, the kegs carrying my best brew burst! All we have now are a few bottles of rum, and it won't sustain a thirsty expedition!

We need to get some booze cooking, and fast!!

The trees in the Wildgrowth Mangal, to the east, seem laden with fruit, but it's too high for me to reach. Look for good, strong vines, see if you can use it to shake some of that fruit out of the trees. Bring me whatever you can find.
