Starts off with your "flying" quest as you ding lvl77 --> Aerial Surveillance which leads you to Pilot Vic. He gives you a coupla quests and then Force of Nature sends you off to Avatar of Freya which finally opens up her quests.

You'll need to stand right underneath the glowing structure atop the pillar to be able to blow the horn. On the pillar will be a crystal structure with bombs around it - that's where you want to be.

If you fly ontop of the pillar that is hovering above the mountain and dismount while being on the little flat space atop of the pillar, you will sink in the pillar and when you reach the bottom of the first section you will start hovering up again, pretty cool to see your head popping out the pillar every once in a while :p

If you run into the middle and blow the horn, all of the mobs around you will be killed by the 'event' that takes place soon after. Just throw up come kind of shield. It may save you time clearing the place.

Interesting note:

Once the horn is blow Freya's power will then instantly kill everything on the pillar once every tick (which is like 2-5 secs).
If you tagged the NPC before her power kills it you get credit ie; 1k XP at 77.

The nice part is, if you stay on the pillar and do mass pulls when the horn is cd, you can hopefully get all 6-8 NPCs on the pillar tagged just as you blow the horn.
Freya's power will then kill the mobs you pulled.

Also this event seems to trigger adds that spawn in random locations, so if you manage to tag them fast before her next tick spam, you'll get all the adds too.

Making a tidy 13-20k XP every 3mins (provided the cd's you want to use are in sync with the horn)

Do you need flying mount to get a top of Glimmering Pillar?

To start this quest you need to have trained cold weather flying first.

I had the cold flying skill but had not gotten a mount yet. Luckily I failed the Areal Surveillance quest and used Pilot Vics plane to get up on top of the pillar instead. It was a pain to get down again, but anywho fall down to the east side where the nearest graveyard is. =P

Stand under the pillar, on top of the light purple crystals on the ground (50.37) and blow the horn. Don't worry about aggro because the mobs surrounding the pillar will die once you blow the horn. As soon as you blow the horn, you will complete the quest, but you won't be able to mount & leave until all the mobs are dead, which only takes 20 seconds or so.

I followed all the instructions on this page but my Mage died.

After I died I found myself at the graveyard, already rezed, as if I did not die - and the quest was completed. I think I just had too many mobs on me and they were not being killed fast enough by the event (maybe 80% of them died).

BTW, I seem to have a permanent pet (Moodle) from another quest. I can use him anywhere in Sholazer Basin, as long as I do not do the final 3-man quest he is asking for. Maybe if I remembered to activate him, the mobs would have been diverted.

If you don't have cold-weather flying -- or even artisan flying, you can get a "loaner griffin" from the NPC next to (to the left of) the flight master in K3 in Storm Peaks. It is not a fast mount, but is much, much better than nothing. It acts as a 'vehicle' where you have to dismount in order to cast spells. I have not finished all of the Storm Peaks quests, so I do not know if it disappears when you do finish. But, you are able to fly all over Northrend with this "loaner griffin". Great for exploring.

In my opinion there isn't great explanation here about what to do on this quest. You do need your flying mount to get the the top of the mountain, however opposite as to what you might think, you do not have to fly to the top of the structure in the air. you simply blow the horn while standing near the crystals below the structure. :)

It's not. You don't need a proper mount to get the Avatar of Freya to start giving you quests, but you do need the cold weather flying skill. Just confirmed this.

You must complete all three of these to open up The Lifewarden's Wrath (this quest).

At the top of the mesa, UNDER the floating spire is a pile of crystals surrounded by several humans. Stand next to the crystals and blow your horn. I tried for like 10 min on top of the floating spire to get the horn to work...

As a druid, I landed on the edge of the top of the pillar (below the floating structures), killed a Cultist Sabateur that ran up to me, cast a rolling stack of three Lifeblooms and a Replenishment, ran over to the crystals, blew the horn, kept up the heals, and in about 10 seconds all the Cultist Sabateurs were killed. Too bad I couldn't loot them, but at least the quest was easy.

Yes you need to be standing right next to the crystals at 49.37

The crystals are indeed at the top of the tower. Unless you are a healer or tank you may want to do a bit of clearing before hand. I took about 18k of damage total.

Ermpriest post is not entirely inaccurate as there is a floating pillar at the top of the tower.

Pillar is at 49,40. You need to stand underneath the pillar on the crystal that's surrounded by mobs and bombs not on top of it as the quests suggests, once you blow your horn they'll all be killed anyway.

For those who may have been spending the last 30 minutes running around the tower, I'm sorry you didn't look here sooner - you gotta have a flying mount and have paid the 1000g for flying in "cold weather".
