Quest text is a little misleading. You do not have to kill horde players, just mobs. Conquest Hold Raiders will do.

The area in which you do this quest does not toggle your PvP on, although when you have the Quest in your log, your PvP is toggled on.

As long as you have this quest in your Quest Log, your PVP status will remain ON. It doesn't matter if you leave the quest area or not. To turn the PVP OFF, either complete or abandon the quest, and then wait 5 minutes for the PVP status to time out.

I do not believe you are auto-pvp'd anymore as of the release of Cataclysm.

This quest appears to only reward one honor point now. Probably not worth the effort.

Oddly enough, the Horde version of this quest, Blackriver Brawl awards 4 Honor points.

However, this Alliance version doesn't issue a flag warning and you can do it while not flagged for PvP. Unlike it's horde counterpart.

Not sure if they did this on purpose. But it's strange.

Completed this quest today and can confirm that I wasn't awarded honor despite the quest description saying so. Hopefully this is an oversight. :P

This quest now awards 50 Honor Points.

Also, still odd that accepting this quest does not flag you for PvP, while the Horde equivalent quest does flag you.

The second island doesn't have 10 Horde NPC's on it. If soldiers who are already fighting finish them off first you get no credit. Went to the main island and started wacking 'em. A group of about six broke off from somewhere at mobbed me all at once. I survived because I did this quest at lvl 80 for the achievement but lower lvls would have a real problem with that many 73's attacking at once.

Just go to the 2nd island south of Amberpine Lodge and kill the NPC's. Guards will help.

Blackriver Skirmish

Scout Captain Carter wants you to kill 10 Horde units or players in the Blackriver Logging Camp.

Descrizione

The Venture Company's on its way out of Grizzly Hills. They used to run logging operations here, but things got a little too dangerous for them.

Their abandoned sites are up for grabs and we sure as hell can't let the Horde get their hands on them.

The Blackriver Logging Camp is the smallest of the three logging sites in this zone, but we still need it. Do your part and fend off the Horde forces. Any lumber they get here will be made into weapons to be used against us elsewhere.
