The cave entrance is at (47,55). Gammothra roams around the area (45, 61), as correctly noted above. He is at the bottom layer of the cave, slightly south of the central pool.

(A quick way in for Priests involves a lot of mind soothing, a quick levitate to the bottom and a short leg south till Gammothra)

Solo'd, 9/28/08 as a 71 Tauren Hunter, 51/11/0

This guy's wives are tough enough...all 69 Elites heheheheh,
but he looked mean.

So, I raid-buffed as best I could (Elix Maj Agil, Agil buff food, Scroll of Agil V), popped a Fel Mana Pot, Misdirected, Mended, sent Devilsaur, popped BW/RF (even though TBW seems to not be working on Beta right now).

Gammothra smacked my Barney around a bit. Whatever. I had to Feign once.

You don't need the Seed pouch thing, I forgot it anyway. Ferocity Exotics FTW.

this cave is extremely hard to find. i had quest helper downloaded and it showed me where the mob was which didn't help cause it was in the cave. even on the map where it shows the cave i couldn't find anything. your best bet is to walk off the edge around the area, and fall all the way down and die in the water below. walk back (not that far), rez and Gammothra is a quick walk away. then hearth out. hurts a bit, but it gets done.

I solo'd this as a 69 Blood Elf Warlock (8/46/5 demonology spec). Found him, sent in the felguard, Bloodspore, Immolate, Corruption, CoA, Soulfire, Shadowbolt, Wand, Drain Soul, loot. Easy quest and the reward from Hellscream is pretty nice for lower level guys leveling out in Borean.

If you do like the say and just drop into the water he's on the right when u go out of the pool of water once you take a right he's in the left room.

I solo'ed the 71 Elite as a Frost Mage.

Then read the quest and saw you could make him weaker.

The pouch can be used on any of the elites in there in case you aggro another by accident. Also, it's not a once use item - so it can be used as much as you need and can still be used after you kill the quest guy.

If you're a caster, you can begin casting while "channeling" the Pouch of Crushed Bloodspore for a nice headstart.

So if you're a silly arrogant "think-I'm-invincible" rogue like me, and try to solo it and fail, buuuut almost succeed (I tried several more times..>_>) Just try to remember to use the pouch sometime.

did it as a lvl 68 rogue, real easy if you use the pouch.
it makes him non elite and easy to kill.

Killing him was pretty easy, took no longer than 30 seconds. The real problem is getting out if you cant hearth.

Soloed the Elite as LvL 69 frost mage, and read on the bag after that it weaknes the mob, so use the bag, harder to do it as I did..

the item works on any of these big elites inside the cave.

if you cant find him inside the cave and got a pet you can just /target Gammothra, send the pet and just follow the pet. easy soloable as a lvl 69 hunter

Apparently, if you start using the item but switch your target before it's done, your new target (including yourself, if you want) will gain the buff Bloodspore Poison. It gives the target the same animation as the weakened magnataurs, but seems to have no ill effect.

I used the powder but it didn't weaken him, still no problem as a 69 prot pally.

If you're rogue, I suggest to you stun him before use the spores.

When you use it, his life will decrease to only 9k. Easy to solo

I did Solo him with out using the bag as a 69 enhancement shaman^^ (but i did not use the bag on purpose for fun) he is Quite easy but u should use the bag cuz' takes much shorter time

I just went ahead and solo'd all the magnataurs all the way down and solod him , didnt even bother with the quest item. Hes not that hard, especially as a BM hunter such as myself.

i get more out of accepting challenges than the easy way out.

The pouch works on the Elite guards as well as the boss, just incase you happen to agg one...

Coords confiremed 46.61, follow the spiral path going downwards, or jump right into the water at the bottom. I'm 71 warlock and though the mob was 71 elite, it was easy as pie since is fearable. Finished with 95% health

Descrizione

Magnataur live in prides, much like lions: one or two dominant males and several females along with their offspring. In the case of Gammoth, the magnataur den west of here, Gammothra is the leader. It is Gammothra that controls this magnataur population and therefore it is Gammothra that must be slain to prevent any type of magnataur uprising.

Take this pouch of crushed bloodspore flower to Gammoth. Use the powder from the pouch to weaken Gammothra and then slay him! Return his head to me as proof.
