71.6, 69.8 inside the cave at the Baelguns Excavation Camp.

After passing by on an army of Dark Iron Dwarves an holograph titan appears talking to the crowd. After listening to the following lines, you get the quest completed.

Kronus yells: Come, minions! Your master calls!
Kronus yells: The work of your brothers in the Storm Peaks has reached a frenzied pace. Soon, Father will be freed.
Iron Rune Worker says: Stop! Stop! Scrap metal moves itself now?
Iron Rune Construct says: To interfere with construct's function results in termination. Move along.

There is a way to complete this quest in 8926.

You just have to jump out of the suit once you're under the statue, and the quest will complete.

Still confirmed as bugged, but the work around does still work. I went as far back between the statue's legs as I could and then waited for the projection to say: "The three fissures opened by the mortals of this region must be silenced. The earth hears and sees what we do and will continue to interfere with our efforts if the way is not closed."

After that I released the costume and got the complete without any aggro. Hope that helps!

Seems like you have to enter the cave from the bottom entrance to spawn the Titan and get the quest completed.

If you have trouble finding the cave (well, perhaps not finding, but getting there), then perhaps this may help:

- from the Explorer's League Outpost go South-West until you will get the note 'Bael'gun's Excavation Site' and see a ramp downwards (this is a very short walk)
- go down the first slope (the grassy one still) and turn left at the bottom of it
- you should now see an elevator a little bit ahead, just take it as far down as possible to get to the cave entrance

Just walk into the cave and Loken should start yelling and Dark Iron creatures will gather around a bright white holographic titan. Just stick around there for a few moments for the quest to complete.

Complete directions:

- top of entrance to Excavation: 72.7, 67.5.
- take scaffolding all the way over to elevator at 72.3, 74.1
- take elevator down.
- get off elevator and jump down to scaffolding at 72.5, 73.9
- face relatively north and take ramp to right.
- you will take two ramps... after that go to the right.
- jump to scaffolding at 72.8, 72.2
- face the cliff wall and take the scaffolding / ramp up to the right. (There will an earth elemental stationary at the base of that ramp.) Base at 72.9, 71.6
- go up the scaffolding to the green dirt at 73.8, 71.0
- take scaffolding ramp on your left up to the deck.... you will come up to that deck underneath the next ramp you need to take.
- the ramp (base at 72.9, 71.2) up to the cave entrance.

Hope this helps... a little complicated, but hey... better than nothing.

You don't seem to take fall damage in the suit -- or at least not unless you fall REALLY far. I never managed to hurt my golem by falling. This makes it a bit easier to get to the cave.

Here's a simple way to reach the cave, as discovered by a friend:

Get to the scaffolding with the three blast-off runes (you can get here quickly via the single rune at the ground floor of the excavation site).

Choose the middle rune. When you land, head several paces to your left. The cave entrance should be on your right.

This quest only gave 9 gold 40 silver at 71. I suspect the gold amount listed is for doing it at 80 when experience is converted to cash.

As i have just found out you DO NOT need to be inside a construst suit to complete either of the quests round here.

After going down to the bottom with a friend i got attacked by a stone elemental destroying my suit. My friend continued to do the quest collecting data. Each node he went to gave me credit as well. This also meant when i went into the thundering cave i was stealthed in cat form. Although i couldn't understand the Titan Language i was still able to complete the quest!

Easy way to reach the cave: as you go down the slope entering the excavation area, there are 2 paths, take the left one. It ends at a elevator. The elevator has 3 stops, wait for it to reach the bottom. At the bottom, you'll see the cave entrance straight ahead.

I wasn't able to complete the quest while in the suit. I ran directly facing the rock the giant appears in front of, as far back as I could go, right against the rock face, and took off the suit. The quest completed, and nothing attacked me.

They found me out quickly the first time I tried, the next time I kept some distance while spamming "Bluff", it was the way of win!

So just do as I did, and they won't insta-pwn you.

edit: Also, you don't take fall damage while in the suit... So don't worry about just jumping down to the cave.

EDIT- I had to listen to everything Loken said until i got a message saying "The sound of thunder dissipates." Hope that helps.

Many of the Vrykul lore is based on the danish viking, and it seems Blizz has also included some of the mythology in theese dwarfes... Loke is one of the northern gods of the north mythology...

Amazing area for prot paladins, while the titan is talking, 2 groups of about 8 Iron dwarves will spawn on the 2 levels pull 1 group (or both if you have good gear), AoE them down and they instantly respawn.

Each mob gives 800xp per 1600 rested I went from 71.5 to 73 in just over an hour of grinding these guys.

They don't have that much health. They don't have any special attacks. They were only hitting me for 160 each with 13k armor and 12k health, I was only in the crafted Cobalt set with a couple quest greens.

Go to the coords 72.70 at Baelgun's Excavation Site. There you will find three Golem transports, take the middle one. Then you'll end up at 74.70, where you go straight ahead and then take a right, go into the cave as deep as you can and wait for the conversation to finish. Mission completed ;)

if you happen to die inside the cave after the titan event has started, dont release! just wait a minute, and the Thunder will Dissipate, and you'll get credit. (I had 1 dwarf who didn't seem to be fooled by the bluff, and eventually killed my golem suit inside the cave.. after that it was insta-death from the dwarves when i was back in dranei form)

At first her only had one for me but on completion of that I've been presented with two and it would be great to know if I need to complete them both or just one to get this.

I couldn't complet the quest. I did everything normal, waited until the end of Loken's speech, and nothing happened. I got out of the suit, ran around, exited the cave, went back, still no completion. I discarded the quest, took it again, went back into the cave, and the animation didn't show up. So no completion.

Edit : went back with the suit, animation showned up. Stayed in front of Loken, completed quest.

Put on the Golem suit first before you do this quest. I know this may seem obvious, but if you're like me then you power level and only stop to read the descriptions when you absolutely have to. Well, this is one of those quests.

THERE IS NO NEED FOR ALL THE CONFUSING DIRECTIONS. PLS READ.

If you remember the previous quests that led up to this one, you'll remember that you can Rocket Jump on the dwarf runes (those square things on the ground with the glowing orange symbols on them). You have to be in your golem suit though, or you won't be able to. You can get the suit by clicking on the table by the quest giver nearby (in case you forgot). Get into the suit and walk over to the entrance of the excavation site (coords 72, 67). Every time you see an Iron Rune Steelguard, hit the 'Bluff' button in your action bar so they don't attack you, if they start attacking you run away. Avoid elementals, they see right through your golem disguise!

Once you're at the entrance, go down the slight hill a short distance and you'll see a two separate wooden platforms. The one to the right-ish has some ramps going up to it, and theres one on the left-ish with 3 dwarf runes on the edge of it. Hard to miss. You don't have to go up or down anywhere to see them. They are on the edge of the wooden platform overlooking the excavation site. Stand on the dwarf rune that is in the middle (coords 72, 70), and hit 'Rocket Jump' in your action bar. You will be launched to another dwarf rune on a wooden platform that is right by the cave. Once you've landed, walk west across the platform to the cave (coords 73, 70). Enter the cave and walk to the back, a guy will appear and say some stuff, wait until he's done talking to complete the quest. Walk back out and back to the spot where you landed, you can stand on that rune and launch yourself back up to the top again.

QUICK AND EASY WAY TO GET TO CAVE!Once you get the quest run to exactly 73/69 cords. Go to the edge of the rock and jump, you'll land, jump again, you're at the cave opening! Easy Peasy! Run in, listen to the big guys speech. Done. Run back to cave entrance, leave vehicle, get on your flying mount and turn in quest. Why are people making this sound so difficult?

I spent FOREVER on this quest and then came here and found the comment by Executor5 and was done in about 3 minutes. Like he said when you are coming down the initial slope into the site hang a left. You'll know you are going the right way because the little bastards will say this area is off limits (or at least they did when I walked through). Board the elevator and turn back to face the gate (this is important because otherwise you will get off the wrong side). Take the elevator down two stops and walk forward. Now you are at the entrance to the cave. No zig zagging. No teleport runes. Just one elevator and a couple steps forward.

The cave entrance is on the 2nd level. You can walk west from the outpost and find the path down onto the platforms (between guard dwarves). Find the three runes on a platform there and pick the one for Level 2. You'll find the cave entrance after you land down there. Work your way into the cave collecting crystal data. You'll see a crowd of dwarves gathering toward the back, and a hologram addressing them. That gives you credit for the quest.

Follow the cave on around to the other entrance. Try to gather all your crystals in the cave so you avoid the wandering elementals outside.

The cavern that we opened at Baelgun's was the one place that most steered clear of... Can't say I blame 'em. The sound of thunder shot out of that cave, <name>! Loud, booming thunder!

I think near the end, it was abandoned by all. Bad, bad things happened to any that went in to explore - most never coming back.

I want you to check that cave out while you're at Baelgun's. Explore around the titan statue inside and report back with your findings.
