Gorclaw the Ravenous is right outside Bloodfen Burrow at 32.4, 66.3 . He's a big blueish raptor that you can't miss among the red ones.

He has a VERY fast spawn time, so I suggest clearing out all the other raptors before killing him.

As said before, he has a VERY high respawn rate. I no sooner killed him, then killed another of his buddies, then he respawned and attacked me again! I'd say he has a 1-3 minute respawn rate.

I would surely kill him twice !!! He respawns very fast, first kill for the quest, you loot some raptor meat and some scales. The second time you kill him you get a nice reward. I've got 'Steadfast Stompers of Agility' boots in mail lvl 36 +12 agi.

The poster is in Mudsprocket,Its a town in dustwallow that also has a flightpath.If you dont have a mount its a LONG WALK...Coords are 42.76

It is a lvl 39 no elit! The quest is very easy at lvl37 (affliction lock)

Solo'd as a lvl 39 Rogue. Snuck in w/ distract to the little area at 31/67, killed the lone raptor patrolling, garroted goreclaw, led him over to the nook and finished him off. Real easy.

My suggestion is do this with Bloodfen feathers too.

lvl 39 NON-ELITE

2188/2188 hp

He has a bunch of lil Dragons Surronding him. Those will give you those Feathers. They are all lvl 38-39. =)

good lord he really does respawn fast. i'm a lv 39 rogue (assassination specs) and thank god for Vanish when he popped up again but it wasn't just him that respawned so fast. certainly an easy kill with Goreclaw not being elite but bring food or potions along to keep the killing quick if you're doing this quest solo to take out nearby raptors and want to avoid bonus aggro. all said and done, an easy quest and definitely bring the Bloodfen Feathers quest with it because even Goreclaw can drop one but if you're lower level there are QUICK RESPAWNS. i guess to be fair, there could have been a group that came through right before me that cleaned the area out a little before i showed up to make it seem like the regular raptors come back so fast, but i didn't see anyone so it's unlikely.

I did this in a kind of quick get-in-get-out kind of way as a level 37 Rouge.
I killed off some of the raptors on the outer edge of the area and then went into Stealth. I climbed down behind Goreclaw and used Ambush. It took until he was about 3/4 done for anything around to aggro. Pretty easy.

coords are 32 64
He is a purple and blue striped raptor at the entrance to the BloodFen Burrow cave. There is also a quest to collect feathers from the raptors in this area, might want to grab that as well.

There's a lot of mobs in this area to clear, and they all repop in about 2 or 3 minutes, including Goreclaw.

Easily soloed as a 39 Rogue - Subtlety speced. Just bring a lot of bandages with you, and try to keep your health as full as you can at all times, as you will get adds.

I just completed it with no problem as a level 37 mage. Should be a big deal for someone a little more experienced at a lower level.

this was an incredibly easy quest.
the amount of mobs around goreclaw looks intimidating at first, but as a rogue i just stealthed up to him, hit him with cheap shot and then backstab. he went down after a couple rounds of sinister strike and eviscerate, and i didn't pull any of the other mobs.

i coupled this with bloodfen feathers, which you get in mudsprocket as well.

If you're having a problem with fast respawns, stop looting until you're ready to leave.

Also at Lev. 40, the aggro range wasn't too bad, so I only had to kill 5 raptors to get through to Goreclaw. He's not elite, this is a soloable quest.

Super easy solo as a 40 Mage with no damage. Cool skin for a hunter!

He's at 31,67, by the Bloodfen Burrow. You may have to clear a few raptors to get at him, but it's great if you're also doing Bloodfen Feathers at the same time.
Sneak round to the side of the cave and then pull him. Try to get him alone if you're not too strong.
Solo'd quite easily as a 37 Druid.

I found him just outside a cave at 32,65. There were a handful of Bloodfen Lashtails that needed to be cleared first.

When I fought him, he was lvl 39, hit me for 70, and had 2185 hp.

I soled this quest at lvl 39 as a druid its realy easy just get in the middle of all the raptors and attack you shouldent pull aggro :)

...do this with the quest from the ogre, Brogg inside the hut infornt of the wanted poster, then when you kill the red raptors on your way to goreclaw theyll drop the feathers he wants.

Travelers and Steamwheedle personnel working in the field are advised to avoid the Bloodfen Burrow to the west of town.

The area is overrun with raptors lead by the cruel and cunning Goreclaw the Ravenous, who has already killed at least two Steamwheedle engineers.

Drazzit Dripvalve has authorized a generous reward to be paid to the individual who rids Mudsprocket of this menace.
