I soloed this guy as a warlock, hes not immune to fear (Or most other slows/roots from what I've heard) so any class that can spam CC can probably solo him. Not the best loot but you get to solo a big walking statue.

Just soloed him as a rogue, was tough but if you use crippling and instant poison and use ur stuns/gouge and evasion abilities correct then it can be done...

i didn't do it for the look just to prove that it can be done as a melee class also.

Wasn't able to solo this at a 66 hunter. Maybe it's easier to kite him and kill it in the proces. He does about 300-1000 damage on mail.
Feint doesn't really help much, once you're shooting at him he will just walk to you and turn the aggro on you.

Soloed him on my lvl 60 ele shammie with no outlands gear, fight took around 7 minutes, i used 2 mana pots and when he was at 10% i met some cenarion soldiers (38,78) who assisted me with the last percents. Dropped mail boots with 20 agility.

First time i saw him today in the southern Twilight Camp. He must be hard to kill for lvl 58-62, i was lvl 70 and he hited me for 600-700 ( cloth ) and he had alot of hp.

He hits hard, but despite his size and level, he is not immune to snares. If you can avoid the bugs in the sand, he can be kited without much trouble.

Just killed him on my lvl 63 druid tank. I was running around grinding rep wen he popped up then Twilight Lord Everun popped up and they both attacked me. I killed em both with about 100hp left.

Not sure if it was just pure coincidence but Setis spawned today immediately after I summoned the 20m encounter boss using the full Twilight Cultist set. He dropped an uncommon piece, silver, and some junk loot. Pretty disappointing considering the rarity of the mob.

It appears that when Cata hit, They shrunk this mob's size down. I remember finding this guy years ago and he was a lot larger than when I just found him now.

Edit: NPCScan will NOT pick this guy up. or at least it didn't for me.

Edit 2: I first killed this guy at 7:52pm server time, Then after I got done with AQ40, I saw him standing at the same spot at 5:02am server time.

Setis used to be enormous and patrol around Silithus, but as of Cata, he can only be found standing just before the instance portal for AQ. And not as HUGE.

Killing him gives you no rep.

We were lvl 60 warrior(Dominator) and Druid(Tacman), lvl 56 Hunter(Brute) and a lvl 52 rouge(Drakcir)
Does anyone know how often it spawns ?

Just hit 60 last night and I was grinding for scorpid bloods and ran on him. So I thought it would be a good celebration to solo him. Took a while and it was not worth it dropped https://www.wowhead.com/cata/item=18438/sergeants-mark and some silver. What a waste.

Doesn't have any range spells or skills, so any class that can kite is able to solo him. He is pretty angry in melee though.

Down by warrior and lock. hamstring ftw, lock nuked. Some of his abilities are:

Ground stop - 5secs aoe stun
Knockback - he did that to me even while i had no aggro, seems to knock people in melee range every now and then

Vulnerable to stun, snare, fear.

I'm a lock and just using succubus seduce , fear curse of doom and a few sb's u cantake him down in 5 mins without gettign hit ..

definately soloable. i got him down to 2/3 health by myself. lvl 60 mage. Little bugger nuck up on me and scared the crap outta me. looks like he probly came from the aq area as i am at that camp right beside it.

well i dont see anything impressive on his loot table yet i just solo'd him and got some cloth gloves with 13 intel and 13 spirit. but it was fun to watch people follow me and cheer me on.

Soloed this guy as a level 60 Warlock.

All you need is to keep him feared along with Corruption and Curse of Doom. I didn't use Immolate and Curse of Agony because every tick may break the fear effect. He evaded once because he was almost feared to Orgrimmar so stay in range to him (~40y) ^^

Be careful, if he reaches you before you can fear him, he may interrupt your spell with a 3 second cooldown, right after that he may stun you so keep your Death Coil ready for the case of emergency.

He dropped a green item and a stone chip.

He patrols between the Twilight Outpost and The Scarab Wall.

Well there I was in ungoro helping a friend kill tar guys and an orc hunter comes through kiting this guy.
That's a helluva long way to kite something that drops &*!@.
Well I just popped a few DOT's on him and a couple shadow bolts for fun.
Just wanted to give hunter props for kiting so far.

Satis can be done by 2 people. I did it with my 60 mage and a 56 shadow priest both with average gear... he isn't as hard as he looks.

Grinding rep with my lady and he rumbles from behind me, so I kite him to Cenarion Hold and some random people help blast the crap out of him. Only dropped some green shoulders, what a jip.

He spawned in the southwestern Twilight Outpost. I died finding out that his aggro mechanics are unusual he will target you just because. Pet taunts and feign/standing up don't stop him targeting you reliably although he will de-aggro whilst you are feigned.

I tried kiting him once and got caught by spiders and scorpids. That camp is just surrounded by mobs...

Third attempt I kited him all the way from the SW camp across the entrance to Ahn,Kiraj, up the road through Cenarion Hold and down into Un'Goro. There's an awesome tree at the bottom of the Un'Goro ramp that you can kite him in a circle around and he paths clumsily, slowing him down. Hhe was pretty much dead by the time I figured that out, but it saved me kiting him through Un'Goro hostile mobs. He dropped +20 stamina plate shoulders. I set my pet on him for most of the trip but eventually he killed it with his aoe even though he never seemed to directly aggro it, the pet did some nice bonus damage.

Yes he is certainly able to be soloed. I am a 60 frost mage ( all 51 points including my elemental ) Frostnova, frostbolts elemental helping with his frost nova and of coursse that lovely blink. Just kept him in the corner near the twilight camp close to AQ area and bounced back and forth with blinnk kepping him confused. Have killed him twice now solo in the last 4 days. At least the ground shakes with a bit of warning before he jumps you.

Paladin lvl 69 named Brossonit just dropped him solo, took a long ass time though. Bloodhoof server. So it does still exist, though considering his large roaming area, very possible to neer see him unless you never leave Silithus for like a month

68 feral druid, ran across him while farming black lotus and solo'd him easy. Just maul/mangle, frenzied regen, bash and root at one point to heal, then jump back in to finish him off. Dropped Mighty Boots of the Monkey, like the guy above.

Came across him by accident helping someone get the 3 chapters of the Twilight Lexicon. He tossed me a couple of times aggroing half the camp so I wiped. When I came back for my corpse he wasn't there. I looked over all the camp and half of Silithus with no luck.

Does he come and go? I've never heard of a silver drag just disappearing and I've certainly never seen it. Till now.

A 61e silver drag drops nothing but greens? Bummer.

Soloed as a 63 druid but he still hits pretty hard. Even when i had kited him down to his last few points he almost wiped me from a nearly full health bar. I had just killed Lord Everun when this guy walked out of the twilight cultists camp in the far south. Dropped Masterwork Legplates of Agility which don't seem to be listed on the above loot table. Nor is Setis listed as someone who drops these.

Had a good run so far in Silithus; found every rare that spawns there in a week's spanse.

Anyway; here's the factors you're looking for.

1) He hits pretty hard for a 61 elite; 300-2000 per strike, is what I had with a 63 lock accompaniment (who arrived in non-combat gear by accident XD)
2) Heavy HP; he has (from estimates, didn't have the right mods on that computer) about 50-80K HP. Took us a while to chew on him, and we weren't just skipping him for 40.
3) He wanders around the area listed there for a while once he spawns; I tracked him for about a good 15 minutes, during which time he wandered through the twilight camp and back again three times. He didn't despawn for another HOUR after we cleared him.
4) His first special attack is a throwback (that deals damage, only about 400 from falling, but still nasty as a surprise), which of course interrupts spellcasting.
5) Next, he has a 3s stun AoE (a la Tauren Stomp) that will mess you up if you're in range.
6) Fear works well on him, surprisingly. Just be careful of him drawing adds... you don't want the twilight priestess to hit you too.
7) He drops some average-grade gear for the challenge... but think of the photos! XD

Recommendation: Wait until he's near the temple, then clobber him with everything ^_~

lvl 70 Enhancement Shaman:

Well out farming for Thorium, I found this dude and thought "I am SO killin that!"

Well I got pretty far, had to lesser heal a lot because of his damaging knockback. Well I get the idea to pop a fire elemental on this guy, and guess what happens? He bugs out and starts evading and regenerating while fixated on my immobile fire elemental.

So I had to run the hell out before he stomped my OOM self, and restart at him. Got him the second time around.

I ran into this guy as a lv 62 hunter while questing. This lv "61" Elite is no joke. My pet, even as a BM spec was taking a beating, and would not keep hate what-so-ever. So it turned into kite it around the empty part of the ruins while dropping Imm. traps and jumpshot Arc. shots at him.

Easy fight once I decided to fully kite him, I figured a Intimadate, Wrath would be enough to finish him.. GL with that guys. Plan on kiting if you have pets.

Dropped some crappy cloak. IMO not worth it for the degree of toughness this fight is. Was fun tho, I'd do it again lol.

Omg he is piece of cake if u ever tried kiting... with 200 spirit you can fire him frostblast and run around and when slow effect is gone you'll have enough mana to cast frostblast again. Should be a long fight tho, just keep him far away and he won't trouble u ! I recomend to pull him to aq gates area because no mobs there. Dropped 22s, some trash and bracers +20 firedamage tho....

Me (57 frost mage) and this one guy I met in Silithus saw him and tried to kill him. We cleared all the scorpids/spiders, got out water elementals and then pulled, he is freezable but hits really hard (around 1k) and has over 20k health. The fight was really long but we pulled it off, hes easy to kite but has so much health you'll run out of mana. Dropped some leather shoulders with +20 defense rating on it. Not worth the loot but definately worth the fun fight.

Does he still spawn? I saw him a couple of times when I first started playing wow (in fact one of the screenshots on here was posted by me) but I haven't seen him for a very long time despite many visits to silithus. I've actually rode around that area looking for him on a number of occasions. I didn't manage to solo him as a lvl 60 so I wanted revenge. :p

As a warlock I was able to keep him in a fear lock.

He can stun and knockback a little bit, if he starts doing that you may need to heal. I had to use a Major Healing Potion and a Healthstone.

He was hitting me around 700-900, with a few second stuns. I was able to keep in good health whenever he was feared with Drain Life.

Just got some crappy uncommon item. Never even seen this guy before, thought I may of gotten something good.

Beat him with my 60 lock. I only needed 1 bandage because of an unlucky resist on my fear.

He has a hard hitting knockback and an even harder hitting stun but since he's so slow he's easy to kite to death.

Killed him on 12/11/2007, as a lvl 70 holy paladin and like many before me, I got a crappy green. 22,90 were the co-ords.

First time I've saw him in 2 and half years playing this game, and I've spent alot of time in silithus (grinded 2 characters to max Cenarion Circle rep, and killed millions of the dukes/abyssals/lords/twilight cultists, aswell as clearing AQ a fair bit.

Nice fight though, stuns and knockbacks were annoying but not much of a problem for a pally :)

Duo'd him with a Mage/Shaman combo the other day. Took a while to kite and was a lot of fun but, the item he dropped seemed a bit weak for this particular encounter.

Seeing as rare mobs like Twilight Lord Everun drop similar greens, and are infinitely easier to kill, leads me to believe that Setis may actually drop something useful, even if it hasn't shown up on the small loot list we see now.

A group of 4 of us on Ner'Zhul took him down the other day. Tough fight - myself (60 druid), 60 priest, 60 hunter, and 60 rogue.

Dropped a green. You'd hope a blue for a guy this tough, but oh well.

Easy kite. Constantly kept snare on him from Rank 1 frostbolt, use blink whenevr possible to get distance, then hit him with a rank 11 frostbolt. Rinse and repeat, very simple.

Make sure you find the right area though, 4th time lucky for me, as the 3 previoud attempts I had him de-agro or evade bug, lol.

I need to stop attacking rares without looking them up first. About every 20 seconds he used a thunderstomp like mobe that stunned my pet and dropped his threat so he'd run off after me. Hit quickly for 300-600 damage and did a few crits for 1k on my pet. Kiting him with wing clip/concussiveshot worked pretty well once I figured out his attack pattern. Sadly he only dropped a green cloth chest with +29 int. Lame.

We got Masterwork Pauldrons of Agility... Well nothing special, but then I looked at the loots and saw that it wasn't the only thing we got - we got a Smooth Stone Chip too! :-P sucks that he doesn't loot a quest-starter or something.

Maybe he is strong and all that, but a stronger much do not meen better loot, there is one strange thing with him. HE IS A UBER-RARE, that meens a 48-72 hour long respawn time, with that he could get some good drops.

When you first see him, he's wandering around but don't forget - he can wander back to where you're trying to kill Twilight Keeper Exeter and farm for those annoying Encrypted Twilight Texts. He one-shotted my 60 hunter after FD failed to work.

On the other hand, Exeter had dropped the 2nd Lexicon and dying is a pretty quick way to get back to the Cenarion Hold.
