Very interesting... Seems to have a rolled in Light of Dawn-like proc.

Seems like this could possibly add an interesting gameplay element to non-paladin healers who might not always be facing the raid. On the otherhand, I could see it feeling gimmicky and a chore if it's too picky with targeting.

Edit: When I original made this post Light of Dawn healed targets in a frontal cone, that restriction has since been removed and is now an omni-directional smart heal.

Got the LFR version of this, and I found out a couple things:

Proc does not heal you.
~15 second ICD.
Does not require friendly targets to be in group with you.
~10% proc rate (Takes me about 10 spells to proc it usually, but I have seen the smallest interval of 15 seconds in between procs.)
No target cap.
No Diminishing Returns on multiple hits.
Follows same exact range/positioning of Light of Dawn.
Seems to take into effect each hit of a spell in procing (I saw a noticeable difference in between spamming holy light and holy radiance)
Can crit.
Does not transfer to beacon.

With the low ICD and the relatively high free healing I think this will be BiS for all raid healers, even though it has a lack of secondary stats.

Just got this mace on Live and went to test it on LFR got a great fight to test with Yor'sahj.

That fight is pretty ideal since there is a lot of stacking and the proc made up 11.2% of my total healing which is pretty amazing for a weapon proc I Imagine that most fight you will prob see an avg of 6-8% with heavy stack fights pushing up to 15%

Got the weapon yesterday as well.

Tested it in LFR as well and can confirm what the above poster said, can't wait to test it on Ultraxion (must be so awsome for that fight!)

At first this scared me due to lack of stats...trust me don't let that happen to you. Get this ASAP!

I got this today and like some posters have said above I too tested it out on some bosses through raid finder and the proc was giving me 8-15% of healing done on boss fights.

I think the major thing here is that it is has no diminishing returns and can hit any number of targets in front of you, within the specified range (Light of Dawn has 30 yard range). So in fights like Deathwing when you have a whole ton of people in front you, especially in 25 man, and they are all taking damage (eg boiling blood) this can hit for a ton and its instant. Not bad when the ICD is only 15 sec.

5 people - min. 26400 to max. 39600
10 people - min. 52800 to max. 79200
15 people - min. 79200 to max. 118800
20 people - min. 105600 to max. 158400
24 people - min. 126720 to max. 190080
(Can't proc on you)

PS I hope my maths is correct.

As a Holy Priest testing this weapon today (Dec 12th, 2011) I observed:
The 'cone' of the heal is enormously large. Approximately 140 degrees wide.
The range of the heal proc is 10 yards.
The heal proc can crit.
The heal proc does not proc my Mastery, Echoes of Light.
The heal proc does not heal me.
The heal proc can be procced by both direct heals and HoTs including Lightwell and other trinket procs which heal (Blaze of Life)

I got this as a 10-man raider, and I'm anxious to try it out in 10-man mode. It did a LOT of healing in 25s, but since it scales with raid size I'm not sure how it will work.

One thing I did notice is that while it was 6.6% of my healing on LFR Madness, it topped my overhealing at over 21%. If everyone is full and this procs, it will still heal everyone and overheal a ton. Not a big deal, but just something I noticed. Still, 6.6% of my healing, that's quite a bit, and definitely worth sacrificing 150 each of 2 secondary stats for (that would be like what? 0.9% crit and 1.2% haste, or something like that?).

I got the normal version of this the other day and went into the AH to test the proc out. It does hit everything within range but it seems to cap out at around 90k total healing before crits. (I was testing on 30+ targets). It was also around 12% of my healing on the new BH boss in 25 man, with around 753k healing and 51%! overhealing. This thing is monstrous. Can't wait to test this on Ultraxion.

Yes, it works nice in 25 man environment during hug ups like Ultraxion fight. Procs are week in 5/10 mans.

In general, Resto Shaman, green buff: Cleansing Flames 1 214 760 healing done which was 8.5 % of my healing, 36,3% overheal. As I understand it adds up to green buff after the patch: Essence of Dreams 4 889 732 healing done which was 34.2 % of my healing, 15,8% overheal. To all interested in crits/tick/hits distribution etc logs in provided WOL and in two screenshoots (posted on imageshack as WOL will be deleted in some time): screen1 screen2.

This are numbers for LFR version of the item but still will give you good amount of information about that proc/item.

Do the heals proc on heal effects? Like trinkets, shaman lifebloom or health buff, pally bubbles?

EDIT: To answer myself it doesn't proc lifebloom nor shaman's health buff Ancestral Vigor. Still unsure about trinkets and other procs.

Looking for anyone to confirm if it does proc from SP's Vampiric Embrace, if it does, it will be a must to give this weapon to Shadow Priests for that extra healing after all the healers have it.

Great tool unless it gets nerfed.

As a holy priest it procs more times than not from COH.

Pulls 5-12.5 % of my healing done.

I consitently pull top 100 parses including a world 4th on spine for holy priests, and that was with the LFR mace.

I was really tempted to take the mastery staff from boat, i'm glad i kept the LFR mace and now the 25 madness one.

It's great. At least for holy priests.

Note that the proc on the raid finder version averages 5846.5 (not counting bonuses from crit and spell power, if those work).

The normal version procs an average of 6600. That's 753.5 more or about 12.9% better than the raid finder version. That's a hefty upgrade.

The heroic version procs an average of 7450. That's 850 more, or about 12.8% better than the normal version. That's also a hefty upgrade. Of course, if you can get the heroic version, you don't need it.

I am wondering if anyone will be able to tell me exactly how to set up a timer with this weapon. I know the heal is called Cleansing Flames and i have Power Auras, Need To Know, and Tell Me When but I cannot seam to get any of those addons to track the ICD of the heal. I want to know exactly when Cleansing Flames Procs and exactly how long it is on CD for so i can make sure i am facing people to get the most possible healing from the proc. Please Help

Confirming...
- It heals exactly like LoD: cone shaped.
- Possibly bis for every healer.
- Procs off hot tics.
- 15 second cooldown.
- Does not heal your character.
- Graphic is "reddish clouds hitting players."

If anyone finds that this mace is not suitable for you, then you might want to rethink your theorycrafting. It's quite nice to have an extra aoe burst heal vs my hots - speaking in terms of druids.

Maw of the Dragonlord can now have its effect triggered by healing from Holy Word: Sanctuary

This is a great buff for holy priests on AOE fights. Making this an even better weapon.

Compared to Ti'tahk you get more int with Maw+Shield/off hand (about 40 in 397 ilvl) once gemmed/enchanted.

Both are good options but Ti'tahk is more offensive oriented. Really good if you're doing a 3 healer fight as you will boost your dps buddies ocassionally.

You will notice a casting animation when this procs. The one your race uses when releasing an offensive spell to be precise.

Just got this tonight on my shaman. After a bit of testing, I have found out:

It will process from Riptide (and its HoT's), the initial and periodic heals of Healing Rain, and the Earthliving weapon HoT. I imagine all jumps of Chain Heal will process it too, though Unleash Elements does NOT. The heal from this weapon will not process Earthliving weapon. I have not been able to test if the Cleansing Waters (Cleanse Spirit talent) effect will process it, though I doubt it as it does not seem to process most things, such as the Heart of Unliving trinket.

On a side note, I passed this weapon to a holy paladin in my guild previously since she was still using a 378 weapon and I had Visage of the Destroyer. The next time we raided Dragon Soul, I checked recounts healing log for overall data and the heal from this weapon was her #4 heal. Very powerful if you know how to use it. Granted, the paladin is used to standing behind people due to Light of Dawn, but that should give an idea of how great this weapon really is.

I've tested this (normal version) against the various other 410 items (heroic versions), and I always seem to do better while using this item when it comes to total healing done and HPS. Your mileage might vary, depending on which fight, how well your raid stacks, and how good you are at positioning. I would wager though it will still be BiS if you know how to use it versus the other options. It all depends on how you play.
