Okay as a holy paladin i am sorta pissed. This is the second tier in a row where the only boss that will be dropping a weapon for me is going to be the end boss. Last tier the only alternative outside of Neffy/AlAkir/Chogall was a trash drop. But it doesn't seems there will be any alternative this tier unless my guild decides to be remarkely gracious and allow me to need on a item with hit rating.

Edit: Blizzard have apperantly seen this problem and added a caster axe. Awesome.

So, basically, my opinion on the look of this weapon is not a good one. The stats, however, I really like a lot. There was only one main-hand spirit weapon in the last tier of content, and it's nice to see one this time around with haste on it as opposed to mastery. I personally believe the weapons for healers shouldn't look so, for the lack of better words, spiky and brute. I guess I may get used to it since the armor sets in Firelands tend to be very... intimidating. We'll see.

In the interest of fewer "Hunter weapon" ...er I mean "Healer weapon" posts, I'm just gonna point out that this is also perfectly itemized for shadow priests and elemental shaman and balance druids.

Hit on caster non-swords basically only exists in the form of spirit now. Also relevant--among the 3 hybrid casters T11 and T12 sets all combined, there are 9 pieces with spirit(hit), which works out to <20% of the hitcap covered by main gear slots.

But, if your loot distribution system is a stab-off between interested DPS and Healers, that's fine. Your shadow priest probably isn't afraid of you anyways.

Also, love the graphic, unsheathed anyways.

Heroic OH is pretty easy for looting, because Shannox HM is dying quickly, so we better compare it this way:

Staff (2467 spd, 461 int, 218 crit, 316 mast, 646 stam) vs MH+OH(h) (2467 spd, 488 int, 288 spi, 286 hast, 661 sta).

218 crit, 316 mast vs 20 int, 288 spi, 286 hast, 15 stam

Fantastic item, which I was overjoyed with winning.

Having no luck on Al'Akir drops, and sticking with the 353 Zul'Aman item for about a month or two, words can not express the joy of winning this.

Perfectly itemised for a Holy Paladin, I'm fairly certain there won't be an upgrade from this in normal modes. This is probably one of the few items I own that I haven't had to reforge out of Crit and Mastery.

If you are fine with a staff rather than a staff sized mace, Smoldering Censer of Purity remains very competitive.
