Murglesnout is finally going to have an use !

This is buyable from the Cooking Award Vendor for 3 Cooking Awards. The tooltip on the PTR says "Requires Sharptooth (3)", but that's probably a placeholder, since these are the exact same ingredients as Fish Fry, but the recipename implies that Murglesnout will be the required ingredient!

So finally our beloved Murglesnout fullfiled their destiny and have found a warm place were the journey ends!

Still useless, 67.5k hp and 45k mana. Who would want to sit down long enough to replenish a 100k + mana pool with this slow regen. Fail...

Great! This should make it a little easier to get Iron Chef!

Now my guild won't have to fish up 10,000 fish from pools so I get enough recipes!

(hopefully they won't bump it to 201!)

It's odd that this recipe does not count toward The Cataclysmic Gourmet, yet the Feathered Lure does... no biggie, as you can get that cheev without either of the guild recipes, just a bit strange that this one wasn't added to the list.

Poor Murglesnouts get no respect! ;)

"Ichthyological Approach On A Useless Fish", by Dr. Rod Fishnoob

Facts:

Based on the Scalding Murglesnout icon, this red fish turns BLUE when cooked.

Theories:

Seems like this particular color change occurs under one of the following (cooking) circumstances:

When fish dies, it turns blue.
Chemical reaction: When fish is cooked together with other ingredient (besides water of course), it turns blue.
When fish is hot, it turns blue.

Conclusions:

Considering that the fish dies a while after we fish it, and that it's still red in our bag, the death theory is rejected.
Considering that the Scalding Murglesnout recipe doesn't mention other ingredients, the chemical reaction theory is rejected.
Considering that the fish remains red even in Uldum, and that the weather in Uldum is always hot, the fish may turn blue only above the boiling point of 100°C... (?)

Advice for consumers: Color change occurs only on fresh fish... If you cook it and it's still red, DO NOT - I repeat - DO NOT eat it.
(If you however decide to go for it because you ran out of other health/mana food, consider the toilet paper as your next best friend.)

Why the hells this is a recipe green with my cooking 507? I bought it to substitute my fish fry (Ricetta: Frittura di Pesce), because this fish is really cheap and got screwed ... tks Blizz...
