Why was bluewyvern downrated. He's exactly right.

The Volcano cards are going for 10K each on my server and there's seven of them up for sale. The cost of the mats is irrelevant; it's what people are willing to pay. Volcano has got a bad rap right now and no one wants to buy it. Sadly, I have more ember cards than anything else and I'm trying figure out what is the best deck to trade them for...losing 20K gold on mats is not an great Christmas present.

Another issue is the whole retarded cost of herbs. People always price gouge on the cost of raw materials at the start of an xpac because of how many people are dual crafting profs and havent leveled their farming alt yet. So right now people are still price gouging herbs which drives up the raw material cost of things like this.

So people might not be willing to pay these retarded prices for the the cards, but the crafters are willing to pay these costs to level their profession. And until the cost of raw materials comes down crafters could very easily find theirselves having a hard time selling things at the AH "value" of the mats. Now if you're on a higher pop server it might not be too bad since more people means more chances of SOMEONE being willing to spend a bunch of gold on something like this (or that someone bought gold with RL cash and doesn't care about the ingame cost), but not all servers are like that.

all the decks have already dropped from anywhere between 14k-24k on A52 so im sure if they havent on the other servers they will soon

Couldn't it just be linked to the proportion of herbalists vs scribes which has the biggest impact on the price? Since you need tons of volatile life for each card.
The more herbalists, the more volatile life is sold on the AH, which automatically drops those prices.
