i prefer this one to the crafted one.
i wudnt mind rerrolling a worgen, the thing is i cant get him to SW at lvl 1, and surely not with that hat.
the other hat has a weird strip with yellow circles

Yeah they need to make it possible to wear the monocle with this hat!

After rolling a worgen and getting him to 14, I decided to run some battlegrounds.

In both Warsong Gulch and Arathi Basin 80% of Alliance players were worgen, which is not too surprising given the race's novelty. What was hilarious, however, was how every worgen wore this top hat despite PvP players' well-known focus on min-maxing, because of the lack of alternatives. Imagine, if you will, the sight of an army of werewolf rogues, hunters, and warriors in a battleground wearing 1) top hats with 2) no stats whatsoever!

You can probably get this hat on horde by doing a paid faction change, you get to keep quest rewards(such as the wrench from the gnomeregan quest)regardless of your actual race.

I'm wondering, if you were to roll a worgen, do all of the quests and get the hat, get a race or faction change, and still keep the hat? If anyone knows, please tell me. if this is the case, then i've got an idea...

p.s., i know of the other top hat, but it is not nearly as dapper as this one.

After reading all these comments, I'm happy to see that I'm not alone in really loving this hat's style.
I'd like to take this a step further by suggesting some kind of formal petition to grab Wow devs' attention. I would really like to see top hats that have attributes and vary in level, or all worgen hats are top hats...Something like that.
It's not that far fetched, since most female mail pants gear makes them practically naked on the legs, and that's just for looks... So what do we have to do to get more top hats that are viable as we level available?

This starts the bow animation and almost instantly removes your hat and then replacing on your head it as soon as the emote is finished.

As of Patch 4.3 this item has 16 durability. That's why your worgen bank alt has a broken helm.

2 bad that blizz didnt add that you could transform white or trash-item with transmorg :( or there isnt any item that would suit for transmorg and had the model of this hat. It would suit so well gentlemen healer. I kept it safe from beginning and will still keep it if i can some day make true use for it !

For those wanting a macro that works in 4.3, try this:

/bow
/run local h,f=function() ShowHelm(not ShowingHelm()) end,ToH or CreateFrame("Frame","ToH") f.t,f.s=0,nil f:SetScript("OnUpdate",function(s,e) f.t=f.t+e if f.t>.5 and not f.s then h() f.s=1 elseif f.t>2 then h() f:Hide() end end) f:Show()

This macro will cause you to bow, remove your hat, and as you're coming up, put the hat back on.

Feel free to tweak the timing to your liking.

If you want to use the simplier macro by Zelath, you'll need to install the "/in" addon found here:
