Seriously, coolest name for gear ever? Am I supposed to ever upgrade that? Aside from something meaningless like stats, would there ever be an upgrade from this?

Not even as good as Maglia del Vero Compagno bought from Justice Points. Do not make this to wear or sell. Unless your server has lots of rich lazy hunters who don't want to farm JP's.

He had a good argument, you counted 162 of a stat as nill, yet he gets downrated and you don't. Your stats you tell everyone to reforge but pretend he can't reforge his stats.

Slightly better than the blue chest but not by alot, will definitly get the blue one and use the gold on something that's actually an upgrade instead.

JUNK! Three orbs, costly mats and poor stats. Lvl 359 and no slots? Not only a waste of time for hunters, but LW as well. Come on Blizzard! How about introducing people who know how to play a class to the programmers designing gear?

Haste is one of our worst stats

lol? Haste is easily our 2nd or 3rd best stat, excluding the fact that being hit capped is obviously first.

Terribly itemized piece of gear. Meanwhile JC gets two near-identical necks with agi on them. (Girocollo d'Elementio Attorcigliato, Medaglione d'Elementio Ardente). I guess the JC guy has more free time on his hands than the LW guy.

This and all other pieces of crafted epic gear will be given at least one gem socket come 4.0.6, according to the latest PTR patch notes.

As a LW and having enough orbs, I'm really holding off on crafting this piece. Yes, we're suppose to get a socket come 4.0.6 but is that going to be enough over the JP chest. Does anyone know what socket it's suppose to get?

Haste isn't bad (its not great) so I'm wondering how the changes to haste and our shots will play out with this.

EDIT: reading the new PTR patch notes, some mail isn't getting a socket just yet, and they've lower the stats on some crafted epics.

Confirmed that no socket was added in 4.0.6. Without socket, the Justice point chest (Maglia del Vero Compagno) is better, or at least equivalent.

I feel its kinda !@#$ty. They should have itemized it so all hunter specs and enha shaman could find it at least decent. Like hit rating etc? It's crap for enhancement with and without sockets. Yes, it got mastery but justice points chest got more... and same amount of agility with 2 +40 agi gems.

Caster mail chest/belt are not better. Why there is no spirit on them? Elemental spec could get +hit from it and resto coult be like =D omg.

And there is haste on enha t11 chest. I hate you, blizz!11

It might not have sockets or be poorly itemized but its 359, and all people looking for members for a raid cares about is ILVL. Thankfully in the next patch this will have an socket added to it, like MustiQue33 says.

Even with a socket is it going to be any better then the justice point chest for a hunter? Doesn't seem like it to me to justify the cost?

Sux with only 1 socket. All competing chest pieces have two. Heck the 346 pieces also gives +20 agi bonus and lots of crit. Maglia a Chiocciola

I farmed the mats, crafted it. But now I'm going to sell it because even if it's 359, it's not that much better than 346 gear. I do get an extra 49 agility, but honestly, I'm better off selling it and saving up gold to buy a 359 trinket.

It true that even with the addition of the extra socket, the tunic barely scraps a small lead over the other pieces mentioned. As for the secondary stats the haste is the major advantage over the other pieces.

By the time most hunters reach 85 they should be close to hit cap anyway, due to it being the number one stat for leveling a hunter. Once you hit 85, haste overtakes hit rating, if as I've mentioned above one has a decent to hit rating anyway.

Haste, is on one hand an excellent level 85 stats to increase, but with the various levels of soft and hard caps that one reaches as your haste rating increases, there are times in between these caps that the extra investment in haste has poor improvements over other hunter stats, but that is the sacrifice required to reach the next soft/hard cap.

What I'm referring to when I'm taking about soft and hard caps is how our rotations improve with extra haste, allowing us to get an extra non-focus generating shot, of much greater dmg. Being able to squeeze in another hard hitter into our rotations vastly improved our overall DPS output.

The only way to get these extra shots into our rotations come from our haste rating, making it one of the best, if not the best secondary stat to focus on at 85, IF OUR HIT rating is near cap.

Without seriously focusing on haste our overall increase in DPS is much harder, unless you are a serious raider.

Which is why, people should not discount the very large haste rating afforded to this tunic over the other items. I would however agree that having mastery as the second stat on this item sucks, especially of you are BM spec.

Obviously, this is just my take on this item and it's worth greatly depends on the other gear you are wearing. For some this is a nice upgrade for others it's not worth the cost.

Note that this tunic and the similarly leatherworked Corded Viper Belt are 359 and use the same artwork, but they use slightly different colors and thus do not match Lightning-Charged Battlegear/Lightning-Charged Battlegear (Lookalike).
