The density of these nodes were ridiculous pre-December 8th hotfix. I got along the lines of 600-700 of these within an hour or two, making around 7k on their sale. The blizzard hotfix said that:

"The tradeskill nodes were too dense in Deepholm and Twilight Highlands for Mining and Herbalism. Several have been removed."

Several is quite an understatement. The density is probably less than half of what it used to be.

Hooray for profiting from oversights.

For some Milling data:
520 Twilight Jasmine Milled = 104 mills.
Output:
307 Ashen Pigment
57 Burning Embers

some calculation makes that to
0.295 Blackfallow ink
PLUS
0.055 Inferno Ink for each single Twilight Jasmine.

From Wowheads' data you could calculate:
2.5/5/2 = 0.25 Blackfallow ink
plus
2*0.5/5/2 = 0.1 Inferno Ink for each single Twilight Jasmine, given that 1-3 or 2-3 means its equally distributed.

Never got 2 Burning Embers from 1 milling. Might be hotfixed or just very rare. Calculate with 0.5 Burning Embers per milling!

They need to increase the spawns of this herb.. It takes like 3 hours of farming per caster flask because of these, whereas the Str one uses the easiest mats in game to farm..

Funny coincidence, the soap that I use has a "Twilight Jasmine" scent and has been out since before Cataclysm: http://www.dialsoap.com/bw-lavendar.html

I wonder if one of the devs also uses this soap scent?

I am not sure what other people's opinions are on the shortage of nodes for this herb, but I think finding one node every 10-15 minutes is ridiculous. I have been farming for 4 hours and have only gotten 3 stacks no other herb in the game is in this short of demand. It hardly is worth farming time wise. I will barely be able to make flasks for my own use at this rate. With how important flasks are I would think blizzard could balance this just a little bit. Unless you have no job there is no way you can farm for that many hours.

Hey guys,

For all of you Inscription fellas wondering what you should mill in order to craft and profit off of Darkmoon Cards. Cinderbloom is your best bet. Why? Because of its cost effectiveness.

What each mills for:

Cinderbloom:
2-3 Ashen Pigment (100% chance)
1-3 Burning Embers (~20% chance)

Twilight Jasmine:
2-3 Ashen Pigment (100% chance)
1-3 Burning Embers (~50% chance)

You may be wondering by now why I say you should mill Cinderbloom over Twilight Jasmine. The answer is fairly complex but it has to do with the Price:Inferno ratio. On my personal server it is favoring Cinderbloom which you can get for a wonderful 65g/stack and Twilight Jasmine which is a 160g/stack. All in all, unless the cost per Herb is less than 1.3x that of Cinderbloom then Cinderbloom is automatically your best bet as it will net you the cheapest cost per inferno.

The Math in case anyone is interested. This is figuring 2.5 Ashen Pigments (AP) per mill and the .2 and .5 Burning Embers (BE) Per mill.

Cinderbloom (65g/stack or 3.25g per Herb)
With 500 Mills (125 stacks or 8125g) you get:
1250 AP or 625 Blackfallow Ink (62.5 Inferno Ink)
100 BE or 50 Inferno Ink
Total Inferno Ink: 112.5 (~72.23g each)

Twilight Jasmine (160g/stack or 8g per Herb)
With 500 Mills (125 Stacks or 20,000g) you get:
1250 AP or 625 Blackfallow Ink (62.5 Inferno Ink)
250 BE or 125 Inferno Ink
Total Inferno Ink: 187.5 (~106.67g each)

33% (72.23/106.67=0.677) Cheaper to buy Cinderbloom over Twilight Jasmine. This is however only true if your servers price for Twilight Jasmine is more than 1.3x that of Cinderbloom. If it is equal to 1.3x or cheaper than that then you would indeed want to mill Jasmine of Cinderbloom.

I filled a ticket today coz iwas really mad. I spend at least 90 minutes to farm for this herb and only got 27. I can't even make flasks enough for my own use. I hope this will get fixed or i am going to be a nuisance and make a lot of noise about this.

Farmed Twilight Highlands for herbs for a one hour duration. Ended up with 93 Twilight Jasmine, 44 Volatile Life, and 54 Cinderbloom.

the herb node on the tree is gatherable. I gathered it today. Try to land on the branch right near the left of it and slowly walk up.

Alright...not to hate on the kindness of the first guy to show us a route but I went through and marked every spot where I found cinderbloom, twilight jasmine, and the glitched ones.

Not saying this is perfect, but I hope it does help. I like it, and even gone and flew around in some of the dense black dot areas and had no troubles.

These are very difficult to farm compared to other herbs. Hopefully, Blizzard will increase the number of nodes up at one time. Since they are so rare, the problem is compounded by the fact that herbalists are constantly looking for them, so the whole 3 nodes up at one time in the entire zone are instantly swiped up and there is nothing left for another 10 minutes. It almost seems like once you do one round through the zone, you should just leave and come back later because if you go for a second pass, you won't find anything. Additionally, I find Twilight Highlands to be one of the less pleasant areas to spend such a huge amount of time. It is just overall a bad experience having to collect these any way you look at it.

Everyone knows it's the volatile life that is the big seller. I have no idea why, but it sells for a lot more than any of the flowers and is pretty easy to get. The only thing that limits how fast I get it is determined by whether or not I want to farm just twilight jasmine or leave Twilight Highlands to farm the other cataclysm herbs. Cinderbloom is available in all of the cataclysm zones and is hardly competed over. I still farm for Jasmine, but not as often as I used to. As an herbalist, I actually make more money farming elsewhere and selling more stacks of flowers and more volatile life.

Just my 2 cents. :) And I don't mean to insinuate anything... just what I've observed.

Also, on my server, Twilight Jasmine sells for only slightly more than Cinderbloom which isn't that much.

I am the main alchemist for my small guild. In order to supply flasks for our main dungeon run group for one evening of back to back dungeons, I need
200 Volatile Life
80 Azshara's Veil
120 Twilight Jasmine
80 Whiptail
120 Cinderbloom

I can gather everything except the jasmine in under an hour. That can take days.

As I also make Mythical Healing Potions for myself, I use a lot of Jasmine. I try to get out and farm a couple times a day, making a circuit and coming back a few hours later. I use gatherer, so here is my map showing my circuit.

While the lack of nodes is extremely frustrating, I have to say I prefer farming the Jasmine, as I can just drop down, gather my herb, mount up, and fly away with rarely a bother, other than disappearing nodes (which a ticket to the GM led to the info that they're working on that bug). However whiptail farming in Uldum is one of the most frustrating ways to spend time on my server, with crocks aggroing as soon as you drop down. You kill the crock and turn around to find a druid ninja herbing. Never fails, and just makes it not worth it. (I have a druid alt, so I'm certainly not anti-druid).

It appears that the phasing issue of nodes has been fixed, at least from what I've seen. No more disappearing acts with TJ :)

The impossible herb is not so impossible! I have picked it off that stupid tree branch! lol if u keep working at it, you will get it. I find it well worth the fight because I hardly find any twilight jasmine when I am farming!

No it doesn't, the gathering node requires 525 skill which you can find at this link Gelsomino del Crepuscolo where you can see it says 525 required.

Some days Im lucky to find one node in the entire zone, other days I can get a stack in one route.

WHY IS EVERY OTHER HERB SO MUCH EASIER TO FARM THAN THIS ONE?

If you're a scribe and have Herbalism to gather mats, I recommend going to Uldum and farm Whiptails instead. Its Milling rate for Burning Ember is the same as Twilight Jasmine (50%), but there are a few things that make it a better place.

Compared to Twilight Highlands:

the zone does not have those weirdly positioned herbs.
the mobs' levels are 81-83, which means their aggro range is smaller than TH.
the respawn rate of Whiptail nodes is fast, about 1-2 min per node.
the farming route is pretty straightforward. Just run along the river bank from the north to the southern end (near Lost City).

This herb is terribly hard to find. I farmed for an hour in TH and found one stack of 2. I ended up giving up and buying what I needed for alchemy in the AH, I wouldn't suggest farming this for gold. Plenty of Whiptail in Uldum.

I've flown around Twilight Highlands at various times today (1am, 4am, 2pm and now 7:30pm) for about twenty minutes to a half an hour each time. I have never seen a single twilight jasmine, only three cinderbloom.

Cant really tell you a route...but...just fly the grassy areas theres alot...I didnt find any near rocky areas or near the coast...I did farm 120 in 45 minutes along with 25 cinderbloom

By just going up and down both sides of the river in T.H., I am usually able to grab over 2 stacks of these and I rarely encounter any monsters. This is a quick way to grab two stacks without having to follow a complex route. However, you won't get as many Cinderbloom herbs along the river banks You may not have this luck on your sever, depending on the amount of people farming for it.

Herb & ore nodes DO occasionally wink out... but 95% if the time, if you wait a bit, they'll re-spawn. Has worked that way for me for the past year at least.

Additionally, I have also noticed that there are good & bad gathering days. The suggested route (which is spot on) I actually discovered on my own... and some days I can get 2-3 stacks in 3 runs around it, and some days 4-5 stacks.

After reading these posts i thought I would see how well the farming was on my server (Darrowmere). I farmed for 45 mins from 12:30 - 1:15 PM on a Friday. I got 9 stacks of Gelsomino del Crepuscolo, 51 Volatile Life and 10 Lifegiving Seed. Seems to me its worth the time to farm plus the fact that these are one of the more valuable herbs to sell, gl and happy farming.
