Sylvanas will never die. She is everlasting.. Besides, she's the only capable dark ranger that could rule the Undercity. Think of all she's gone through. She was involved in lore a bit more than some other faction leaders.

1. She got off the LK's grip as soon as he lost 0.000001% of his power.
2. She secretly worked against the LK without him noticing that she's out of his reach.
3. She managed to STUN Arthas. Can anyone else STUN world bosses? :P
4. She took control of quite a large amount of ghouls and banshees, and managed to defeat Varimathras, destroying his base. She also had him beg for his life.
5. Together with Varimathras (although the dreadlord didn't have much role in it except information) she destroyed Detheroc and Balnazzar's bases, and killed them both.. unfortunately she was unaware of the dreadlord's immunity to death. (they can only be truly killed if deheaded or other forms of extremely traumatically death)
6. She got Garithos killed.
7. She created a faction from scrap, and developed it into what we know now as the Forsaken. She also created the undercity (not personally, but had ghouls and stuff build it. - cause i really doubt the humans held a morbid city right under their "glorious" capital)
8. She managed to stand on her feet for OH SO LONG! from classic to wotlk, she only stood on her feet. Most of the other faction leaders got a throne, but not her.
9. She gained the Horde's trust to such a point that most of the horde focused on saving the Undercity from Varimathras' siege.
10. She killed varimathras (along with others, yes...)
11. She resisted the urge to kill Varian for his insolence, arrogance and stupidity.
12. She is the only to have ever sung a song in WoW.. well, except the orcs who sing the ye' ole' "I come from the orcs, we eat with spoons and forks, we love to eat our pork!"

WHY would you hate her? Even if you're ally, she's damn hot, and she didn't kill your king. (actually no real forsaken offensive exists to be led by her.. not against the alliance anyway. she's quite passive, unless you attack her. Other bosses do get involved in wars between the two factions, but she wasn't really ever in one.
perhaps because she was once of the alliance and can't forget it..)

Because I couldn't find this information anywhere else:

Once you turn in the chest and get the unsealed ones, the NCPs will appear in the first room of ICC. YOU HAVE TO MAKE SURE IT IS ON 25 MAN. After getting my chest, I left the raid group and went back in later by just inviting a friend and making a raid, I didn't switch it to 25m and couldn't see the NPCs. Each will have a ! for you, and they will RP for a minute or so each.

An example of glorious: hearing your Shadowmourne-totin' DK squawk "OH WHAT IN THE #$%&, ARTHAS, WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT oh my god what is wrong with you I don't even--" over Vent when she finds this item.

Granted that was about my reaction too.

Why the hell would he do that, man, just why. I'm assuming some kind of freaky-deaky necromancy but DANG. WHAT.

She is leading the Forsaken in an attack on the already crumbling Gilneans. Their land is falling out from under their feet and the Forsaken press on, takeing advantage of the chaos.
The Forsaken used to hide out in run down Alliance towns and camps in Lordaeron. Tirisfal Glades, Southshore and many other zones in Northern Eastern Kingdoms, the Undead have hidden out of sight from many wars and conflicts. Why? Nobody would accept them. Many warriors of the Forsaken were once warriors of the Alliance, fighting for their city, their families, their lives. They were killed in cold blood and raised by Arthas to fight against what they used to fight for. Once they were freed, they realized what abombinations they were. The Alliance wouldnt accept a bunch of ragged undead creatures into their city.
They hid. Even when they were taken into the Horde, they hid in the shadows.
Only until recent events, the weakening and death of the Lich King have they started their attacks.
Yes, some offensives, like the Battle at the Wrathgate, were betrayals.
But the attack on Gilneans, obliterated Southshore and left it nothing more than a few pools of bubbling ooze were not. The plague used against the Humans and Worgen are so vile, Thrall, even headstrong and warmonger Garrosh Hellscream do not approve of it.
I think most, if not all, of nothern Eastern Kingdoms would be under her control, Horde control, if there wasnt such a large number of Argent Crusade and various other Light-believeing groups to her east.

Above all, I still think she is one of the most interesting leaders in the game, and look forward to all the new lore coming out on her, as well as the Leader story on the WoW site :P

She got pwnd by Lord Godfrey tho! Is there any sequence/ quest line where you see this happen and then the three valkyrs die to bring her back? How did that weakling Godfrey kill her anyway?
