How much would I expect to pay for one off eBay or similar?
According to http://www.wowtcgloot.com/tuskarr_kite.htm (most information sourced from there), the expansion will be released on the 24th of November 2009 and the set loots are Spectral Tiger Cub, Tuskarr Kite, Little Ivory Raptor Whistle, and Little White Stallion Bridle. Current price is over $80 USD, but should approach $50 during release.

Facts:

This kite acts as an companion/pet.
It follows you around like normal pets, and is attached by a string.
Every few minutes or so a bolt of lightning hits the kite and travels down the string to zap you, shaking your screen. It does no damage.
The bolt of lightning occurs more regularly in rainy conditions.
Useable at any level and therefore available for twinks.

Dunno how it look's,but it would look so awesome it was a flying tuskarr attached to a string flying in the air :D That fatty!

Exciting information: the Tuskarr Kite reportedly can be struck by lightning, just like the Dragon Kite!

Its animations are somewhat simpler than the Dragon Kite... but you can generally get the Tuskarr version for 1/4 - 1/3 the price of a Dragon Kite on Ebay.

The Kite is removed when you mount up - just a bit of information for those of you wanting to get this pet.

If you use the Pet Biscuits to double the size of the kite, what actually happens is since the string of the kite is part of the size, the string doubles in vertical height and the kite not only gets bigger but it is twice the height off the ground.

i buy the cards trying to get the loot. i got this a long time ago, and just redeemed it the other day :)
great addition to my collection, its very neat to run around with :) bummer that it goes away when you mount up, tho :'(

I think it's referrence to Benjamin Franklin's experiment with kite in the storm. Also got zapped :D
