Drops from Anub'arak in ToC 25 Heroic, and is hands down the new BiS trinket for any dps spell caster. This can also be equipped with it's non-heroic version, and they stack, so equipping both would be the best combo of trinkets. Better than IotDS and Flare of Heavens.

In addition to the damage it provides it also makes your crits feel just a little bit more exciting, i love it!

This isnt comptletely true. According to 3.3 SimulationCraft for Warlocks, the Flare beats the normal version of this trinket for affliction warlocks. And Im quite sure this applies for shadowpriests aswell. http://elitistjerks.com/f80/t48311-simulationcraft_warlocks_3_3_numbers/

Basically the upgraded version of the BC's Lightning Capacitor (https://www.wowhead.com/cata/item=28785) except this one has spellpower added.

Another difference between the trinkets is that the Capacitor also procs off DOT crits.

No longer a BiS for casters in PvE, but still something to drool over in PvP. Nothing beats burst that's guaranteed to boost one of your crits, as a secondary trinket
