Finally ranged weapons for melee classes whose main attribute is strength. I mean honestly if you are going to complain because it doesn't have agility and you can't jack it from everyone else too bad. Hands off this one hunters and rogues. Hands on to warriors.

My friend (Death Knight) and I (Hunter) were joking around and kiting the first two trash mobs in The Clash of Thunder. After 20 minutes and countless tries, we actually got them down. This gun dropped from one of them (Dark Rune Ravager to be exact) and since I was the only one who actually could use a gun I picked it up for jokes sake. Good luck to those warriors who want this.

And no, I'm not going to actually use it.

This is an upgrade for most hunters from an iLevel 200 item (might depend on spec for some). Just because it wastes budget on strength, don't write it off - that big base DPS increase is still a factor.

To the first poster, of course Envoy of Mortality is way better, it is a 226 level item for one thing, but if you are running around with the Nesingwary or the Drake-Mounted Crossbow, this is better. Plus, it is really pretty good for PVP - Stam plus high weapon damage for burst - not bad at all. If this drops in your raid, and you've got a hunter with a level 200 weapon, let 'em have it!

I just got this tonight (fury warrior). Even with the recent buff to imp berserker stance, my stats all drop with it equipped compared to the Nesigwary 4000 with a +8strength and +8 crit gem in it (even with the 10% strength bonus from BoK). I gain haste but that isn't enough to increase total damage. Plus I lose a little bit of crit. I haven't decided if I'm gonna use it or not. I will have to see if it ultimately is better that Nesingwary.

Hehe, i'm a warrior tank and i got this yesterday from a trash mob in the Conservatory of Life just for my dps spec because nobody else could use it. Little did i know that this is actually the best ranged weapon for warriors xD simply for the reason of it having strength. There is in fact no other epic lvl 80 ranged weapon that has strength on it.

Yes, this may be good for a warrior for the added strength and crit, but also for a hunter who is in need of a upgrade fromhttps://www.wowhead.com/cata/item=39296. Until a better gun or bow drops for me in Ulduar, i'll keep using it since my dps went up a significant amount from the bow.

On a serious note, I would cry tears of blood if a hunter won this over me, it's like a warrior rolling on a caster sword because it has more dps on it.

Caster weapons only have 100 dps on them tops. It would be impossible for a caster weapon to be an upgrade for a melee dps.

I quite honestly have a nagging feeling that this was made to faciliate hunters crying about losing their guns to warriors...

While certainly designed for fury warriors, this isn't a bad tanking weapon if you're still toating around the old classic: https://www.wowhead.com/cata/item=41168

You lose 21 stamina, but if you're already hit and defense capped, then that is the only dramatic loss. In exchange you pick up added strength for block, and a goodly amount of extra damage/threat. In Ulduar or other challenging situations you most probably want to stick to your pure tanking weapon as every hitpoint is so vital. But I would love to slap this on during easier guild Naxx runs.

I feel so dirty for having picked this up, but it was actually an upgrade from the Nesingwary 4000 my Hunter has had the last few months, since other ranged weapons refuse to drop when I raid...

Waaaaaay too much Stamina for what is basically a Plate DPS stat stick, the Nesingwary 4000 is still better thanks to having more AP due to the gem slot (plus flexibility) and bonus, even if you're a Fury Warrior with Kings. Not to mention the haste is for the most part a waste. Then again, certain people at Blizzard think we plate DPS like it on gear....

EDIT: Love people that don't have the balls to reply to something they rate down.

Pretty damn good 80 warrior ranged weapon .. in cata, since theres almost no other strength non-tanked ranged weapons.
