Very nice lvl 49 trinket since there hit rating items are not that easy to find on lower levels. It is BOE and it does not require engineering to be used therefore it can be bought for twinks or for the pleasure of having a flashlight.
It has the same effect as the moonstones from Lunar Festival.

Edit : @ Basmothel : i was saying that the hit rating is very handy for twinks.

The three-minute operating time and slow recharge rate is due to an oversight by the Research and Development department. In hindsight, it was a mistake to make a solar-powered flashlight.

The materials are not hard to get, but the thorium may get a little expensive if you are not a miner. But anyways, who goes to engineering without a large sized wallet?

This looks awesome. The hit is imba for the level, but it's a shame that it's only for level 49 up. There is a neck with similar stats for level 29, and I think the hit could e increased here. But amulets don't flash!

Has anyone tried selling these yet?

I know the mats aren't cheap, but there are maybe only 1 or 2 trinkets with +hit you can get before this. Seems like there could be a market for people who want to power level their alts.

If the buyout price listed here is accurate, then this could be a legitimate money-maker for Engineers.

If only those damned Gnomish Army Knives would bind, we'd be rich! Maybe :P

On my realm, in the AH they are about 150g, but it cost about 10g (+ tip) to make. If you are thinking about getting one, buy mats and have an engineer make it (only needs level 250), it is much cheaper than AH price.

Can learn the schematic from Buzzek Bracketswing in Gadgetzan as of patch 3.2. Cooldown also reduced to 10 minutes down from 1 hour.

Is there another item that has the same use function as this, with a shorter or separate cooldown? I remember seeing people in a raid group constantly marking fish feasts between wipes under 10 minutes. I suppose multiple people could've had the flashlight though.

At Lv49 (the minimum required level) this fantastic low-level Trinket gives a massive 3.8% spell hit chance and 3.04% physical hit chance.
Surely hands-down one of the best levelling Trinkets around.

For you engineers. On my realm, I've seen this a few times for 200g on AH. I know at least one sold because I bought it. I missed the little ring of light items they gave away a few holidays ago. No equip cool-down is sweet. Now I can turn on my lovelight all I want.

Pretty close to be "Alan Wake" reference.
