Originally part of the DnD spell, this glyph is very handy for tanking and also grinding/levelling. It may also be of some use in PvP.

If this makes it into live this will be an EXCELLENT Gylph for all Death Knights.

Originally Death and Decay also had this effect but was taken out because it was too over powered.

The person who cowers literally does the /cower emotion and can't move for 2 seconds, so it's technically a stun. Whether it will have diminishing returns is unknown but this + desecration will make a deadly combo. Can't wait to test out my DK on the 13th!

Does anyone know if this is trainable from the trainer or is it part of the northrend discovery skill? I'm leaning towards the latter, due to there being none on my server atm.

the cower works similar to intimidating shout's targeted opponent "intimidate" function (not the AoE fear portion) as far as I can tell though with only a 2 second duration its hard to see if it's breaking on time or breaking on damage.

It may just be my custom built brand new PC that can run Crysis on max settings at 80 FPS.

Buuuuuut. This glyph seems to give you MAJOR FPS lag when used on more than 6-7 mobs at a time. It's the "Fear" effect above their heads that lags you. There's a way to fix it which unfortunately involves turning your spell detail all the way down. So now you can't even see where your Death and Decay is.

Overall, AMAZING glyph which has got me using Death and Decay a HELL of a lot more, especially in pvp. This thing is outstanding for "CC'ing" Casters.

"Oh doesn't matter, that death and decay doesn't interrupt my spell casting at all..." BLAM!

Im having some issues with this glyph.

About 75% of the time when the fear procs the mobs dont move; they "cower in fear", which is great and makes this glyph good.
However the other 25% of the time they actually get feared and start running away. Which totally makes this glyph a pain in the ass. Im gonna drop this glyph until they fix that, because for aoe grinding it means they just run out of the AoE range.
For tanking it can even be disastrous, if mobs run away. I had a few raids where i used it and a caster ran away, which put me in an awkward position because i had to bring the other 4-5 melee and move them to the caste who was now nuking me from a ranged position.

I hope its a bug and not intended, if its a bug this is one of the best glyphs around, if its intended it sucks pretty badly.

I currently equipped this glpyh and in my character tab weapon damage went up 20% and then went down 20% when eguipped a different one can anyone confirm

Must have glyph for any Unholy DKs doing ToGC25 Anub. Switch to GoDnD, GotG, GoDD for Anub for maximising DPS.

Does this glyph reduce half of the DnD's dps, or keep the dps so DnD will cause twice of its damage per cast?

In Mists of Pandaria this glyph has changed.

OLD: Glyph of Death and Decay - Increases the duration of your Death and Decay spell by 50%.
NEW: Glyph of Death and Decay - Your Death and Decay also reduces the movement speed of enemies within its radius by 50%.
