These legs are easily the best pre-raiding legs for a restoration druid.
Without talent benefits, these legs would roughly give:

819 HP.
1152 Mana.
0.46% spell crit.
105 healing.
89 mana per 5 seconds while not casting.

Of course, the regen is not completely accurate, as it's only a thumb rule to assume 1mp5 while not casting for each spirit. A more accurate formula would be:
MP5 = 5 * (0.001 + sqrt(Int) * Spirit * Base_Regen) rounded up

One of the earliest upgrades would drop in Naxxramas from trash, being the Spirit-Bound Leggings. However, these have haste rating which on it's turn doesn't truly benefit for resto druids, and one could possibly prefer the statistic superiority of these legs over the Naxxramas ones.

As it looks now, it'll be a long time until you'd replace these as a restoration druid, as no viable upgrade is in sight yet.

The first Viable upgrade would probably be the Valorous Dreamwalker Legguards (token turn in from Thaddius 25) or Desecrated Past (dropped by Grobbulus 25). Haste isn't really much of a resto druid stat thanks to Gift of the Earthmother, and the little bit a druid is likely to want is already going to be present on much of the rings/necks/cloaks/trinkets/weapons available.

Either way, Aevitas is right, you aren't likely to replace these quickly.

I just got mine today, confirming that Aevitas is indeed correct about at least the spellpower increasing for more than the value listed on the item because of spirit. These are amazing, I really strongly suggest them, I've already noticed a good difference in my mana regen as well as healing values.

Probably the best pants before you can raid in general. Or if you cannot raid then these are just the treat for your raid-starved druid =P

The mats are ridiculously easy to farm, I get a ton of those frozen orbs just doing heroics and eternals from just doing the proffs on my other toons.

These and the earthgiving boots are now incentives for me to get my LW way up there. Does anyone have a screenshot of how they look? I'd love to see how this gem looks like =P
