I'm assuming that with this Vellum scroll you'd be able to add BC & WotLK enchants to it then send it to an alt to enchant their gear, since the other two may be too low level.

Very useful for leveling enchanting and not wasting it on yourself ^_^

Need to have 350 inscription
Not sure what's the level requirement for Grand Master Inscription, but I was 65 and I can get it.
NOTE: I think you can only learn this from Dalaran Inscription Trainer https://www.wowhead.com/cata/npc=28702

I can confirm that you do indeed get skills from enchanting the vellums. In addition, the vellums stack even after being enchanted.

these are perfect. i got both inscription and enchanting on different characters and i couldnt stand to waste all of the enchantings.with these i can even make profit with skill ups :P

As of this writing (Nov. 23), the WoWHead data on the Inscription skill level it takes to learn this is incorrect! The only trainer that carries it is the one in Dalaran, and I believe it takes a skill level of 400, not 200 as noted.

Don't try to put this in the "Will not be traded box" thinking it will turn into a scroll when it gets enchanted, you will get cheated out of gold/mats and it will be your own fault, I learned this the hard way :(

I just did the same thing and the armor vellum still says 'requires 350 enchanting' so I was unable to use it. Opened a ticket and a GM said that they should be able to fix it. Still waiting to see what happens.

Update: They were able to fix the problem and gave me a scroll to enable the enchant.

let it be known that each time you enchant a vellum it becomes the enchant. In other words if you enchant bracers with 6 to stats it becomes the scroll of enchant bracers 6 to stats which in alot of ways is a good pay off for non enchanters

you don't have to farm mats and pay an enchanter if you want a certain enchant, now you can buy it. Very good idea imo and also from an enchanters view i like them to skill up then sell

just sold 3 scrolls of 6stats to bracers for 30 g and got another scroll for 60g of spellpower.

great idea vs keeping chanting the same piece of gear repeatedly like i used to do

I am unable to put WotLK enchants on any of the vellums--the highest levels vellums state they are for "Level 60 and below" while the WotLK enchants state they are "Level 60 or higher".

these things have saved (and made) some cash for me leveling enchanting. rather than try selling in trade chat the "raw enchant" i can sell these scrolls instead. and is much faster too to level. quite a nice addition to the game.

Now if only people on my server would either raise the cost of a Vellum above 5g or stop selling enchant scrolls for 1000g each...

I got into an arguement with a guy because he decided to undercut the market (where scrolls sell for 500-1k gold on stuff that pre-WotLK you could get for 50-250g) of Vellum 3's by 75% because he saw it as the Vellum sellers were "gouging" the market and his price was more "reasonable to the enchanters"...

This thing is really helpful when you got several characters on same account and one of them is enchanter: finally you're able to enchant your gear yourself, without the need to find someone who will do it with your mats for free or for a reasonable price.

Just made the same mistake. Granted this is what happens, can anyone explain WHY? Seems incredibly stupid.

Because it is a reagent not a piece of armor. Putting this in the 'Will not be traded' window is the part that does not make sense. You wouldn't put the mats for a chest piece in the 'Will not be traded' window for the same reason, It just doesn't work like that. Granted the part where the game allows enchanters to place an enchant on the vellum while in the 'Will not be traded' box is broken; however so is the thought process that this is anything other than a crafted item like an Eternal Belt Buckle.

The reason for the confusing tooltip is, as I understand it, you can still apply pre-Wrath enchants to this vellum. So an enchanter could put Enchant Boots - Minor Speed (a vanilla enchant) or Enchant Gloves - Greater Strength (a BC enchant) on this paper. Obviously you would only want to do this is the appropriate level vellum would be too expensive.

I don't understand why people can't understand the "level 60 or lower". If Blizzard expands upon enchanting to have enchants for items that must be above level 60 they don't want your armor vellum III to be the end all vellum that can be enchanted by anything, look at number 2, it's 35 and lower so that you need the third to do higher enchants. No there isn't any enchants that require say "item at least level 85" or something, but if there eventually is they already have armor vellum 3 covered and just have to make number 4.

I was on my 440 enchanter trying to put "Enchant Gloves - Armsman" on this vellum and got an error saying "I cannot do that!". Anyone have any input on whether this is a bug or what I may be doing wrong.

My problem with Enchanting as a profession is it's the only one that doesn't provide much of a bonus for additional characters. My enchanter was, previously, just a DE monkey for greens I picked up on my main...now, with the addition of vellums, I can enchant my own gear from another character!

I always hated having to run down some friend after I got a new piece of gear; it was a headache trying to hold someone online after a big successful raid while I gathered the mats from here and there to polish up my upgrades.

They are profitable, as people have been saying, but, in my opinion, this is the best new addition to the game in terms of making a "self sufficient account."
