Isn't it kinda expensive just to save a few bag slots?

At least seeing how it's consumable. Would've loved something like a "Mana Potion Compressor", that isn't consumed on use.

The Burning Crusade version wasn't this expensive.

Is it me, or is this one of the worst items ever to be created by an engineer? Cost to make: no less than 30g (for five) on my server. Going rate on the AH? 2.50g for FIVE.

Ok, I understand that this is a leveling recipe, and we're all just happy to get something back rather than unvendorable, unsellable and undisenchantable trash that we got in BC, but let's be serious here... at those prices,and with the inflation in WotLK, I'd rather buy em out myself and trash em.

I just hope people will notice this item and start using it, might be one of the better items I can make as an engineer.. the cost is a bit steep tho, to create 5 injector kits i need 12 saronite bars ( that's 24 saronite ore ).. saronite bars go for around 3g each.

On Vek'nilash I make more money by just selling the saronite ore unfortunately.

Well this is always a good item if you have an Engineering toon and an Alchemist toon -

Make potions.
Make kit.
Combine and send to alts.
Profit.

This item more swings towards convenience rather than profit as with most Engineering items at times. The BC version was incredibly useful with the droprate of potions out of world chests, drops from mobs, out of pickpocket, lockboxes etc.

A quick run-around in Nagrand for example with Gatherer showing chests and you'd have 20 Mana/HP pots in about an hour or so depending on luck. Send them to your Engineer, make the injector and there you go: 20 potions in one slot. Unless you were/are a high raider, that one injector should last you quite some time. Your mileage will vary.

However, with the removal of world chests in WOTLK - good luck getting this racket started again unless you have a dependable Herb/Alchy who's willing to churn out the potions to make these wholesale. On the plus side, you no longer need an Engineer's intervention beyond the point of making the kit in the first place.

I see this recipe getting cheaper in the future. WOTLK isn't that old yet that the markets aren't overflowing with Saronite etc yet (think the excess of Fel Iron, Adamantite etc) so it doesn't SEEM cheap at this time. Yet.

You get an engineer to make this. For 1 set of materials you get 5 injector-KITS. If you provide 20 potions and then use 1 kit, you'll receive 1 injector with 20 charges.

Injectors have the same SHARED effect as a regular potion: One shot pr fight.
Injectors have the same SHARED cooldown as a regular potion. One minute between shots.
After the 20 charges have been used, the injector will vanish.

In other words; Its exactly like a single stack of 20 potions.

Creating injectors can not fail. Using injectors can not fail, but the amount of HP/Mana gained will STILL BE RANDOM (4200-4400)

Worth noting that when used, it simply converts the runic mana potions (which stack in lots of 5) into runic mana injectors (which stack in lots of 20).

This means you can split the 20 injectors into separate stacks in order to separate them up among people if you need to.

I was offered some of these from a friend but the only place I could use them would be to save space in the g-bank where we stock lots of pots for raids, and I would have rather had individual pots so they can be handed to to several people instead of a few injectors, but since I found out they are just a stack of 20 instead of a single item with 20 charges, I go ahead and use them now.

Quantity produced by recipes for Runic Healing and Mana Injectors has been increased.

this as meaning that we make more than 5 kits per crafted, as opposed to more potions stacking per kit, if you follow me.

For me, Ideally, engineers would get the buff of +25% and would be the only class capable of combining the potions as well, making this a good value added item for us to turn around and sell, and screw the standard upgrade of all potions stacking. I certainly don't depend on my engineer alt to make money with the profession-of course- but having one thing that we could make that was worth buying besides bullets, mithril casings, and a really, REALLY low level gun would be nice. If they are going to totally make the profession irrelevant for salable items, I would like to see a lot more frills, like more crafted pets, mounts, and goofy gadgets. I feel that this is a fun profession to have an alt with- so i can level him to max skill and get the trinkets and goggles (goggles at 72 are OP for sure, loved em). As a main, most of the stuff is useless if by the time you reach 80 and you would be maxing skill on a main at around there anyways with the time it took you to farm all the mats, whereas an alt you could buy him to 450 or use your stocked up mats. The motorbikes are super cool but really not practical to make and sell, and a huge goldsink. The guns are cool, but with the new raid system and abundance of epics in the game per capita now, the guns lose value as well, and don't sell for the big profits they used to on my server.

Meh. I like engineering for the same reasons it annoys me. :) Its the most offbeat profession in the game, more odd than useful. But it seems that Engineering is being guided into self buffing and augmenting with little use in making things others want to buy. Your thoughts?

With patch 3.2 healing and mana potions stacks in lots of 20, then Healing and Mana Injector seems to be unusefull :((

I think he means useless with any gold making potential (did it ever make much though?).. but since Bliz nerfed "way back" only using 1 per boss, potions in general keep getting nerfed unless you have the related profession yourself.
