Looks like a real must have for any melee shaman.
SoE totem in 3.0 will be strong enough to have it out all the time; with this glyph, it is IMHO unquestionable good.

Edit: and you need only 5 goldthorns to make it ... exceptionally cheap, I say.

Does that apply to your mainhand only? or your offhand as well?
Usually I've got Windfury on my mainhand and Flametongue on my offhand, so now I wonder if I need to have Flametongue on my mainhand as well to get the effect from this glyph.

I haven't seen a damage increase of 10% worth since equipping this glyph, though my math may be flawed.
If someone could clarify this for me I'd be grateful.

Decent synergy with Glyph of Flametongue Weapon for obvious reasons. Along with Glyph of Stormstrike, these 3 glyphs are probably your best bet for major glyphs as an enhancement shammy.

It's probably obvious, but it should be noted this is a 20% increase to its current damage, not a 20% flat increase. Therefore, at its base (200%), this glyph makes it 240% at base.

Anyone clarify how this stacks with Improved Lava Lash, and if the Flametongue bonus is a flat 40% (therefore 240% normally) or if it's a percentile bonus as with this (therefore 280%)?

I'd like to know what all the different buffs to Lava Lash - Imp. Lava Lash (and searing flame stacks), Glyph of Flametongue - takes percentages of. Either:
1) 200% normal Lava Lash (with Ft enchant added on later)
2) 240% with FT enchant
3) % of the previous Lava Lash damage e.g. 200% > 240% FT > 20% (Glyph) of 240% = 284% > 30% (imp. LL) of 284% = 369.2% > 20% (per searing flame stack) of 369.2% = 443.04% (1 stack) or 738.4% (5 stacks)

if they take 1 or 2), are they added on top of the previous percentage of damage
point 3) seems like Lava Lash would be doing crazy damage with +700%

I made the calculations on the Lava Lash page.
It should be pretty accurate https://www.wowhead.com/cata/spell=60103#comments:id=1405094

But in short one can say it doesn't reach over 700% weapon damage.

Lava Lash with Glyph deals 240% weapon damage.
Lava Lash with Glyph and Improved Lava Lash deals 300% weapon damage. (in 4.2)

In 4.3, the 30% damage increase from improved Lava Lash is put into the Baseline-Lavalash.
The glyph therefore increases the damage by 52% (20% of 260%), so the result will be 312% weapon damage.

NEW: Glyph of Lava Lash
Your Lava Lash ability no longer spreads Flame Shock to nearby targets.
