This bomb is instant cast. Thats why they have no short incapacitate stun

Indeed, instant cast. Which is very nice if you think about the other gadgets Engineers are getting like the rocket gloves, chaining these toether would be very decent damage!

A tip for non-mining Engineers: you can craft these bombs completely from parts salvaged by the robots in Borean Tundra to save money.

In patch 3.2 these bombs will get a short cast time (still usable while running) and an incapacitation effect. Additionally the recipe will now create 3 bombs and there will be a new belt enchant that gives you the ability to either (it's still unclear) create or use a bomb every 10 minutes.

Currently, these boms have only 0.5 sec cast time (compared to other grenades, such as Adamantite Grenade, that have 1 sec cast time). Keep that in mind while throwing one of these.

Just note: there seems to be little delay before the incapacitate takes effect, which is 0.1 sec slower than for compareable grenades. For throwing these new bombs have effective cast time of 0.5 sec + travel time, however, for interrupting purposes, the effective cast time is 0.5 sec + travel time + 0.1 sec incapacitate delay.

Just note, that casting time of these grenades is affected by any kind of haste effect (such as passive haste, Heroism or Icy Veins). However, that also means the casting time can be slowed by cast-slowing effects (such as Slow or Curse of Tongues).

Although Cobalt Frag Bombs are barely affected by this (thanks to its 0.5 sec cast), it is quite noticeable on older grenades (with 1 sec cast) where some kind of slow effect could make you miss the grenade.

The new expansion made this grenade even insanely better.

There aren't many ppl in WotLK zones now. So if you are a miner, you can easily grind like 200 ores in 45 minutes (Zul'Drak is the best place to farm these ores by the way).

Roughly, 20 ores can craft 18 bombs.

Cheap and deadly.

I love Engineering.
