I got my 2 Skins in 4 kills. So there is nothing wrong here.

Two kills, two skins. Make sure you are killing the NPCs named "River Crocolisk", no other Crocks will work.

Says drop rate is 2%. I must have killed at least 100 of these crocks! No drop? Any comments?

Yeah Iam having the same issue here to theres got to be abetter way i kno its has to eb tough cause u only need 2 for the quest but my roomate got skins on the first 2 river croc he killed so why is he so lucky. PLease bring light to this demise for many.

Make sure you're killing the right type of crocolisk. The Saltwater Crocolisks near Grom'gol do NOT drop the quest item, only the River Crocolisks along the Lake Nazferiti and near Nesingwary's camp drop it. Snapwater Crocolisks don't work either.

the drop rate show on thott DOES include people who have killed without quest.
So the rate is a lot higher than what is shown

Yes, you need to kill the "River Crocolisks".

First one I killed = skin
Second one I killed = no skin
Third one I killed = skin

Easy quest.

I took me 6 kills to get both skins. Good luck

Spent 10 minutes killing the wrong type of crocolisk, the next 2 kills dropped the skins for me. Guess I got lucky.

They are way easyer drop if your father up the river

dont kill the ones near lake nazferiti. kill the ones north of the camp

As someone else said, the rate listed on thottbot includes kills by people who did not have the quest, who would not have seen the item drop. So the true drop rate is higher, but it's impossible to say exactly how much higher.

I have completed this quest several times on different toons, though; the fewest kills required was three and the greatest eight. So the true drop rate, empirically, is probably somewhere between 37.5% and 66.7%.
