A good place to farme Fire Leaf is in Scalding Pool in Borean Tundra. They spawn mostly at the edge of the pool.

It seems Fire Leaf can now also be used to make Lesser Flask of Resistance.
The recipe can be learned at the trainer, and one flask requires four Fire Leaf and one Imbued Vial.

A little tip for farming these--you can see the fire effect on the ground from a good distance further than where the actual herb loads and appears on your map. I can usually spot them from 2-3 times the distance I would have had to fly to get it to appear on my map.

Patch 3.1.0 - PTR Build 9757 removes this item from being needed for the Flask of Endless Rage. Goodbye value.

Don't forget that as you're farming these, be on the lookout for the rare elite mob Fumblub Gearwind who flies around the area to make a little extra money on the side. I've been able to catch him every time I've made a trip out to farm these, because of how difficult he is to notice.

Since not many people will be farming these any longer, they could prove to be the easiest herb to farm for Milling. Whether for that Darkmoon Card: Greatness, or simply for glyphs. If you're the only person farming these, using the fire animation trick can yield a large amount in a very short period of time :).

I continue to pick these for milling and they also still do drop frost lotus in their nodes. they don't have much alchemical value anymore.

I use the "gatherer" add on to track my herbalism nodes, and I am curious, has anyone else noticed that fire leaf has a higher frost lotus drop rate then other herbs? I'm trying to decide whether I was just experiencing a fluke last night or whether they are worth farming simply for the lotus.

Anyway, I am an alchemist so I don't usually farm this flower, but my husband has a toon with inscription skill, so if I happen to see one, I pick it for him. Last night I hit three nodes and got two frost lotus. Feeling lucky, I farmed for about a half hour and came away with about 80 fire leaf and 7 frost lotus. Considering that you get at least 2 and sometimes 3 from nodes, that seemed to be a fairly high percentage.

I went back to the tundra today and have gotten a stack with no frost lotus. . . so, am I wasting my time or has anyone else noticed that Fire Leaf are a consistent source of Frost Lotus.

If you are out and about in the area that these spawn, i advise picking them. they are useless so there is plenty of them, BUT they sell fairly well, so if you need cash these are fairly easy to grab and sell for a quick extra gold for that training or w/e. 20 for 1g 50s at vendor :). In about a half hour of questing from the village right on the edge of the pools, i found 20 of them no even looking for them. so not bad for 15+ quests done in half hour and then a nice 1g50 on the side.

Fire Leaf (Herb)

Found in humid areas, on rocky ground.
Not as spicy as its cousin, the Firebloom.
While the leaf itself is tough when fresh, if boiled it softens and can be used as a garnish for spicy dishes.
The plant the leaf is gathered from is thorny, and if handled incorrectly can cause a burning sensation if flesh is pierced by the thorns however, the leaf itself does not have any thorns or cause a burning sensation.
The pollen from this plant oxidises when it comes into contact with air, causing the illusion of fire around the plant, however this does not burn flesh or damage the pollen, instead this causes an updraft around the pollen allowing it to travel further than other plant pollen.

*Warning*
While not poisonous to any race of the Horde or Alliance, this plant causes severe abdominal pains in Kobolds, Murlocs and is deadly to Naga!
