Actually the 100% chance of proc from the link of https://www.wowhead.com/cata/spell=55747 is roughly right.....for judgement and shield of righteous. It's like paladin-class trinket imo. Definitely a bug and the correct proc rate on melee/ranged attacks is around 2% to 3% according to some simple tests.

Currently paladins could use this to unleash their rage :D, it will proc 2 times in a row from a single judgement .

Will edit if this get fixed in next beta build.

Depending on the internal CD this _green_ Trinket could really be doing good DPS until epic Trinkets from naxx arrive in our inventory.

But, even if it's not, it'll definitely be fun for bursting stuff down, with 25% proc rate it'll proc instantly after engaging combat, and thus will be useful for pvp, for example taking down that nasty Mage Shield.

Did some testing with it, and at hit/expertise cap on a servant of Grol in Blasted Lands, it seems to have a 45 second internal cooldown, and its crit chance/damage are based off of spell modifiers, not melee. (150% crit damage)

Its average damage was 1350 and had a 1.3333 PPM rate for about a 30 DPS increase from the trinket.

For Protection Paladins, this has the potential to be a very nice threat trinket. Because we get a 1.9x multiplier to holy threat and this does holy damage, 30 dps would add up to 57 tps, even better than what you would expect from an Ashtongue trinket over time (https://www.wowhead.com/cata/item=32489). Plus, since it is likely to go off early in the fight, much like the Tome of Fiery Redemption (https://www.wowhead.com/cata/item=30447), it will generate some very nice snap aggro if it goes off early in the fight, which it sounds like it's likely to do.

Overall, then, this is a very nice trinket that has some real threat potential. Don't vendor it :).

This is a really nice trinket for mutilate rogues. I got it today and it gives you a good extra burst dmg when killing mobs or players. And since the mutilate spec revolvs a lot around bursting down ppl it really comes in handy.. Loving it :)

I replaced the Direbrew AP trinket with this trinket a level 75. While questing, I found this trinket made up between 6.5 and 8% of my total damage done according to Recount. The Horn really shines while leveling. It's built to do big damage in quick fights. The longer the fight, the less valuable it becomes.

As a BM hunter with 2540 AP (lvl 77) and 20% crit chance I kill mobs with 10k hp too fast to find this trinket useful due to it's procc rate.

This is very useful for Deathknights as I've found that its damage is increased alot using an unholy spec as there are quite a few talents that simply increase the overall damage you deal by a certain %. Thanks to Blood Presence, Ebon Plague, Desecration, and possibly Bone Shield the amount of damage dealt increases rather significantly. As a result it occasionally hits for 2k (largest so far being 2338) and can rarely crit for 3k. (It doesn't seem to get our double damage magical crit bonus)

Highly recommended trinket.
Argent Fury is ~10% of my total DPS as a level 75 BM hunter.

And it's "equip and forget" type. No need to activate, watching for cooldowns, thinking abount trinket rotation, etc.

80 Marks Hunter

When I was leveling up to 80 it seemed to account for ~7% of my damage.

I just finished Heroic Violet Hold and Recount only showed it accounting for ~3.5% of my damage. I will watch it closely for the next couple of instances, but if it can't maintain at least 5% of my overall damage I am going to have to replace this puppy sadly.

I just got this trinket and decided to take it for a spin.
Recount tells me that it has procced 54 times in sample of 435 melee swings, 198 Judgements of Command, 195 Crusader Strikes, 261Seal of Command Procs, 183 Divine Storms and 55 Hammers of Wraths.
The interesting part was that it Critted 33% of the time, which seems very high to me, atleast alot higher than the above mentioned 5%.
It made up 4.8% of my damage done, which means it roughly comes down to a 50 dps increase.
So all in all a nice trinket that I will stick with till a more tasty competitor arrives.

Don't have this equipped while farming junkboxes for lockpicking. It will proc of pickpocket and you will exit stealth mode.

In 1,424,407 damage, Argent Fury did 34,390 damage, proccing 24 times on 677 Melee hits, 98 Windfury hits and 176 Stormstrikes.

Putting out 1597 DPS it did 2.7% of that damage. Not very impressive, not surprising either, since it's the green in atm all blue gear.

Edit: Disses on skill 350, so that's positive :)

I went through Shadow Labs running someone through and this accounted for about 6% of my damage. I'm an affliction warlock and did not once use my wand. I have since purged my data, but it seems to me like it procs off of spells. 75% ish of my damage in there was from SoC and Shadowflame.

This trinket can proc off of a paladin's Hand of Reckoning taunt/ranged pull. What a surprise when, while questing, I went to pull a mob and got an extra 2451 damage from this trinket proc critting!

Just ran this on a level 60 testing dummy, just so I didn't miss at all. Over the course of 6525 attacks this proc'ed exactly 200 times (~3.07% chance). These were auto attacks only and over 3 million damage done, this accounted for roughly 8.1% of total damage. Hits ranged from 976 to 1459 with an average of 1229 (Recount). It critted only 3 times for 1465 min, 1897 max. I am a prot warrior so my spell crit on my character sheet says 0% but I guess there is a small chance still. Gonna just let it go over night until I get auto-logged from AFK and will probably update the numbers in the morning.

Assuming this hits for 1400 average (if you combine hit and crit) and procs roughly once a minute, this is a dps increase of about 23 while in combat. That's the equivalent of 322 attack power.

this seems to not proc on cat/dire bear form i tried many many attacks and it didnt proced, as soon as i changed to travel form it proced almost instantly...sucks

Just to put this into some sort of context for any DK thats lvling Unholy.

The Argent Fury proc did 20% more damage than Blood-Caked Blade proc over 1000 hits with 3 dots up at all times @ lvl 74, with average greeen/blues for that lvl.

In other words, pretty damn good.

this item is a must-have for any melee/ranged at this lvl, the proc rate is pretty nice, procs often during spikes. playing a hunter myself ive seen how often it can proc during a chimaera shot spike, thats another 1.5k on top of 2k dmg, really nice to have.

For a recent comment, I just leveled a hunter after not playing for over a year. Just a background but I am no theorycrafter, but these are my findings. I used recount for my statistical output like most. I finished my leveling in Zul'Drak at 79. I used this trinket for most of this zone with this reasoning: While killing mobs of my level (hit capped), I found that this trinket was covering 5-6% of my damage as a MM hunter. In list form for most of 70-80 this is what my Recount looked like:
Note: for most of my leveling adventure I killed most mobs in 6-8s with my pet, Jeff, of the raptor family(ferocity) covering 20-25% of my damage.
1.) Auto Shot
2.) Aimed Shot (side note - Chimera and Aimed pulled almost the same)
3.) Chimera Shot
4.) Serpent Sting
5.) Chimera Shot - Serpent (damage done while using chimera with the sting)
6.) Arcane Shot
7.) Horn of Argent Fury

Furthermore, and what I found to be very interesting

8.) Wild Quiver Auto Shot (12% to get an extra attack, an MM talent (3/3 points tier 9)
9.) Piercing Shots (3/3 tier 7)

Note: Because I am OCD I tend to review the data from recount every 500k damage

Based on this alone a equated this trinket to be quite valuable for leveling. As you can see the damage out is more than produce by 6 points in the hunter MM tree.

The big question for theorycrafters is...How many mobs can you kill in two minutes (cooldown of most on use leveling trinkets) to make the other various leveling trinkets (AP/increased AP for 20s) sub par to this. Also ascertained from this data I also believe the proc rate to be around 15% with an internal cooldown of 45s. I did not proc on every mob but usually every other.

Another side note: DO NOT use this for instances or at 80.

If you are a hunter and you are not sure if you should use this or not. It is in my opinion that you should. Enjoy leveling. I'll post again when I level my warrior and I will let you know if it is viable for that class

Also, I will say this again... do not use in instances! This is purely for leveling and I am sure that is what Blizzard intended.

As an enhance shaman, this trinket made up about 5% of my damage while questing (at about level 75). It's not bad at all, certainly an upgrade from most trinkets.

This item is worth keeping, at 80 I use this alongside Darkmoon Card: Death for dailies and grinding as they do not seem to share a cooldown with each other and frequently proc at the same time.

Can be fun getting 2 crits from these on an opener, instantly killing the average daily mob.

Based on what people said about this trinket I decided to start using it, and to be fair it does its job slightly.
According to my Recount Data out 1663258 damage this trinket hit 29 times totalling 47511 damage, The crit chance is roughly 14%, critting just 4 times out of the 29 hits.
It counts towards 3% of my Damage :P

Note: This was tested on a level 75 Retribution Paladin, I'm sure the results would be much more interesting if tested on a rogue or someone with higher haste rating

I was wondering if this trinket procs even if the target doesn't take damage? For example what if I use this on my warrior and go fight the caster mobs in Scholomance that turn into ghosts that only take magical damage. If I keep hitting them, could the trinket still proc and do holy damage to them?
