No, this is a referance to the ancient Dragon of the world in Norse mythology. Jormungandur was said to be chewing away at the roots of the World Tree, Ygdrassil, attempting to destroy it.

the "attaching causes the item to become soulbound" doesn't just apply to BoE items. i tried to put this on tuxedo pants, which don't bind on equip or pickup, but they still became soulbound. if you want to twink you'll have to stick with the BC leg armors.

With 3.1, this LW will NOT work for twinks, as now you will need to be level 70 to activate the bonuses.

This pretty much means twinks are now endangered species now.

https://www.wowhead.com/cata/spell=60583 is actually more better and use much lesser mats.
Use it if you want use it immediately on yourself.
Only shame you cannot level up your LW skill with it very much.

The Armor type here is more for selling.

Not sure exactly when this happened, but attaching this to leg armor no longer makes it soulbound. You can see that with the tooltip, and you can verify that for yourself in game.

Every other leg armor (and spellthread, for that matter) makes the item soulbound.

I had thought that maybe they were relaxing the restriction on all non-epic level 70 leg enhancements, but that would make sense.

Much better to just make this - and only this - specific item different.

That'll show us.
